Where is Wankui Building?

Wankuita is a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangxi Province.

Wankui Tower is located in Jinshishan, which is 10 km northwest of Fuzhou. This is a magnificent ancient pagoda and the only one preserved in Linchuan. It was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (16 10). After the tower collapsed in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1779), it was rebuilt in the Daoguang period (1839), so this ancient pagoda has been preserved to this day. It belongs to the first batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Fuzhou. Jiangxi provincial cultural relics protection units.

This tower has six sides, seven curtains and layers of cornices, with a height of 465,438+0.58 meters and a waist of 365,438+0.68 meters. It is angular and sharp, like a steel mace upside down tower. The bottom of the tower is made of kenaf stone, and a turquoise plaque engraved with the words "Wankui Tower" is embedded in the south of the second floor. This tower is made of blue bricks and looks quaint and elegant.

There are two steps in the tower, the upper left and the lower right, which spiral upward until the fifth floor does not touch each other, and the fifth floor above is 0- level, for people to visit and overlook the Fuzhou Fuhe River and Yangcheng landscape. The top of the tower is round, inlaid with copper pieces, shining brightly. There is a slightly arched portal between the floors of the tower, with blue bricks floating outside and six eagle horns in the shape of animals at the top. The majestic appearance of the tower naturally forms. From the top of the tower, you can see the sparkling Fuhe River, dotted villages, fertile fields and picturesque Fucheng, which is refreshing.

For the origin of Wankui Tower, folklore is the tower of Hezhen River. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Zhaoxian Township (now Zhanping Township) was repeatedly invaded by relatives and Confucianism, and the people were miserable. There is a fairy passing through Shigang Village. It is said that there is a local fish with its head in Hedong and its tail in Hexi. In five years, when the fish turns over, Shi Gang will become Wang Yang. Because of the sufferings of the people, they left a message to build a tower in the town river to hold down the fish, so that the fish could not turn over and the people could survive the flood. So people raised funds to build the Hezhen River Tower, and there was no flood disaster in Shigang Village since then.

According to Linchuan County Records, this tower was built by Zhu Rurong, the magistrate of Fuzhou, during the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty (16 10). Because "You and Lin will live in Jinshitai Holy Land (now Jinshishan), which can be the hometown of China, the hometown of civilization and the hometown of elegance. After the completion of this tower, there are countless loyal ministers in Linchuan, so it is also called' Wankui Tower'.

The preciousness of Wankui Pagoda lies not only in its long history, but also in its masonry structure, cornices and decoration, all of which have the representative characteristics of Linchuan architecture. What's more commendable is that the ingenious structure and spiral staircase of Wankui Tower, when two people walk opposite each other from the bottom and top of the tower at the same time, do not meet, which is still a mystery.

The historical, artistic and scientific research value of Wankui Tower is rare in China. According to historical records, the Juxing Pagoda in Cheng Nan was built six years after the completion of Wankui Pagoda.

Wankui Pagoda is the oldest and best-preserved Ming Pagoda in Fuzhou. It is as famous as Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Guangchang County, Juxing Pagoda in Nancheng County and Yingen Pagoda in Yihuang County, and is listed as one of the four famous pagodas in Linchuan.
