The Origin and Legend of the Yellow Calendar
Tracing back to the origin of the perpetual calendar, the story starts from the ancient Shang Dynasty ... a famous woodcutter called it the perpetual calendar. One day, he went up the mountain to cut wood. After cutting, he sat down under the tree to have a rest. He stared at the shadows of the trees and thought about how to set the festival accurately. Unconsciously, it took him more than half an hour to find that the shadow on the ground had moved quietly. I had a brainwave for ten thousand years, why not use the length of the sun shadow to calculate the time? After returning to China, I designed a perpetual sundial instrument. However, on rainy days, the sundial instrument lost its usefulness again. One day, Wan Nian drank water by the spring and saw the water dripping rhythmically on the cliff. The regular drip inspired him. After returning home, Wannian began to make a five-story leaky pot and used the method of water leakage to time it. In this way, whether it is sunny or rainy, we can grasp the time correctly. With the timing tool, Wannian observed the weather and seasonal changes more attentively. After a long induction, he found that the length of the weather will repeat every 360 days. As long as you know the laws of the sun and the moon, you don't have to worry about the inaccuracy of festivals. Ten thousand years ago, I took my self-made sundial instrument and leaky kettle to see the son of heaven Zuyi, indicating that festivals are not allowed to have nothing to do with the gods. Zu Yi thought Wan Nian's words were very reasonable, so he left Wan Nian, built a sundial table and a clepsydra pavilion in front of the Temple of Heaven, and sent twelve boys to Wan Nian to deliver them. Since then, you can concentrate on studying the seasons in ten thousand years. After a while, Zuyi sent Aheng to study the perpetual calendar. Wannian took out the preliminary results of his own calculation and said: the sunrise and sunset are 360, and it starts again. Vegetation is divided into four seasons, and there are twelve circles in a year. Ah Heng was very upset after hearing this. He was worried that making an accurate calendar would be reused by the emperor, which would directly threaten his position. So Ah Heng bought an assassin with a large sum of money and prepared to assassinate him for ten thousand years. I have no choice but to study the four seasons wholeheartedly for ten thousand years, and almost never leave the Sun Moon Pavilion where I live. The assassin had to roll up an arrow in the dead of night and never shoot it for ten thousand years. Only heard a whoosh, an arrow hit Wan Nian's arm, and Wan Nian fell to the ground. The boys shouted the assassin, and the guards caught the assassin in time and handed him over to the son of heaven. When Zu Yi discovered that this was Aheng's trick, he ordered Aheng to be locked up and personally visited Riyuege for ten thousand years. Ten thousand years ago, I reported my latest research results to Zuyi: Now Shen Xing has caught up with hundreds of silkworms, astrology has been restored, children have sex at night, the old year has ended and spring has begun again. I hope the son of heaven can designate a festival! Zu Ti said: Spring is the first year of the year, so let's call it Spring Festival. At that time, Zu Yi saw Wan Nian overworked day and night and was injured by an arrow. He couldn't bear it, so he invited him to the palace to recuperate. Wannian replied: "Thank you for your kindness, but the current solar calendar is still a grass calendar, which is not accurate enough. We should jump in at the end of the year. Otherwise, over time, it will cause disorder of festivals. In order to live up to expectations, I must stay and continue to set the solar calendar. " After dozens of winters and summers, the 10,000-year-old solar calendar has finally been completed. When he dedicated the solar calendar to Zu Yi, he was already a white-haired old man. Deeply moved, Zu Ti named the solar calendar as the perpetual calendar and the perpetual calendar as the birthday of the sun, the moon and the moon. This is the origin of the name perpetual calendar.

According to legend, a long time ago, a young man named Wan Nian saw that the festival at that time was chaotic and wanted to make it accurate. One day, he went up the mountain to cut wood and sat in the shade to have a rest. Inspired by the movement of the shadow, he designed a coffin to measure the sun and calculate the time. But it was raining and foggy at that time, which affected the measurement. Later, the dripping spring on the cliff aroused his interest, and he began to make five-story leaks. As time went on, he found that the length of the weather would repeat every 360 days. At that time, the monarch was called Zuyi, and the unpredictable weather made him very uneasy. In order to please the emperor, a minister named Aheng said that he would build a roof to worship the gods. Zu Ti thought it was reasonable, so he led officials to worship heaven, but to no avail. After 10,000 years of knowledge, I couldn't help but take the sundial and the clepsydra to see the emperor and explain to Zu Yi why the sun and the moon run. Zuyi was very happy after hearing this and thought it made sense. So I left for ten thousand years and built the Sun and Moon Pavilion in front of the Temple of Heaven, as well as the sundial platform and the Leaky Pot Pavilion. Twelve boys were sent to serve for ten thousand years. Zu Ti said to Wannian: "I hope you can accurately measure the laws of the sun and the moon, calculate the exact morning and evening time, and create a calendar to benefit the people of the world." On one occasion, Zuyi sent a message to Aheng, wanting to know the progress of the perpetual calendar. When he boarded the altar of the sun and the moon, he saw the inscription on the stone wall next to the Temple of Heaven: sunrise 360, sunset 360, and everything started again. Vegetation is divided into four seasons, and there are twelve circles in a year. When Ah Heng saw it, he knew that the study of perpetual calendar method was successful, and his heart was uneasy. He was extremely afraid that the monarch would blame himself for offering sacrifices to the gods, because he had been favored by creating calendars for thousands of years. So he plotted to send an assassin to get rid of Wan Nian. The assassin climbed to the Sun Moon Pavilion and saw the stars in the observation pavilion for thousands of years, so he drew an arrow with a bow and prepared to shoot him. Who knows, the assassin was found by the guards and arrested on the spot. When Zu Yi learned about this, he punished Aheng and personally went to Riyuege to visit Wannian. Wan Nian pointed to the astronomical phenomena and said to Zu Yi, "It's twelve months now. The old year has passed and the new year has begun again. Please make a festival for the monarch. " Zu Ti said, "Spring is the first year of the year, so let's call it Spring Festival." Winter goes and spring comes, year after year. Later, after long-term observation and careful calculation, an accurate solar calendar was worked out ten thousand years later. When he showed his successor the solar calendar, he was covered with silver whiskers. The monarch was deeply moved. In order to commemorate the achievements of ten thousand years, he named the solar calendar "perpetual calendar" and named it the birthday star of the sun, the moon and the moon. In the future, people will hang up Shou Xingtu in China during the New Year, which is said to commemorate this venerable 10,000-year-old man.
