The historical famous pits of Suoque inkstone mainly include Pingdi pit, Dabao spoon pit and Huapengzi pit. Pingdikeng is located in the middle of Juqueshi vein. Dabaoshao Pit, also known as Shang Yan, is a famous old pit in history. Dabao Shaokeng mainly produces stone eyes with bright heart, green color and pure halo. Clear stone eye, purple sand red stone eye, rare snow red seal, rare polar crystal Jintianhuang and Di Chin roe also come from here. Huapengzikeng is located in the lower low-lying area of the inkstone material-rich area, also known as Xiayan, which is called Shuiyan by the locals. The color of the inkstone in Huapengzi pit is purple, which is slightly heavier than that in Pingdi pit and Dabao whistle pit. The stones in the flower shed pit are delicate and moist. It mainly produces stone eye, eel yellow, green fertilizer, yellow fertilizer, blue and white, azure, jade belt, gold thread, silver thread, rib, roe and fat stone. However, due to the complex geological structure, low terrain, and close proximity to Jinsha River, the fluctuation of the river is impermanent, and quarrying is extremely difficult.
