How old are the characters in China?
The earliest found writing was Oracle Bone Inscriptions in the Yin and Shang Dynasties.
Legend has it that the earliest writing can be traced back to the period of the Yellow Emperor, and Cang Xie, the minister of the Yellow Emperor, created the oldest writing in China. Therefore, Cang Xie is also called the ancestor of Chinese characters.
If the historical time, Chinese civilization has a history of 5,000 years since Yanhuang, and the creation of characters in Cangjie is a legend in Yanhuang, then the history of China characters as the history of China should be more than 5,000 years.
