What about piglet yellow dysentery?
Yellow diarrhea in piglets, also known as early-onset colibacillosis, is an acute and highly fatal infectious disease in piglets aged 1 ~ 7 days. Clinical manifestations are severe diarrhea, yellow watery stool and rapid death.
Oral or intramuscular injection of antibiotics such as gentamicin for 4 days can effectively control the occurrence of yellow dysentery in piglets. Prevention of piglet yellow dysentery should start from sows, and be inoculated with Escherichia coli vaccine before the expected date of delivery 15 ~ 30 days, or take piglet feces with yellow diarrhea and mix them with feed before the expected date of delivery 15 ~ 20 days for three consecutive days. Piglets can obtain maternal antibodies from colostrum, thus playing a preventive role.
