The opening time of Chengdu Universiade is July 28th.

3 1 The Summer Universiade was held in Chengdu from July 28th to August 8th, 2023. The opening ceremony was held at the main stadium of Dong 'an Lake Sports Park at 20:00 on July 28th, and the closing ceremony was held at Chengdu Outdoor Music Park at 20:00 on August 8th.

3 1 The Summer Universiade was originally scheduled to be held in Chengdu from August 8th to June 9th, 2002/KLOC-0. After consulting with the International University Sports Federation, the organizing committee of the 20021March/20021World Summer Universiade finally decided to postpone the holding date for 8 days and hold it in Chengdu from August 27th, 200212002, on the basis of fully considering the holiday arrangements of college students in various countries and the schedules of related international important events.

The Universiade is an international sports event, which aims to promote international college students' sports exchanges, improve their sports level and cultivate their spirit of unity, hard work and enterprising. As a metropolis in China, Chengdu can provide good hardware facilities and software services for the Universiade Summer Games, provide high-quality tournament support and thoughtful reception services for participating countries and regions, and show the good image of China and the hospitality of the host city.

Chengdu Universiade means 3 1 Universiade. This is the fifth Universiade held in China and Chinese mainland after the 20001Beijing Universiade, the 2009 Harbin Universiade, the 201Shenzhen Universiade and the 20 17 Taipei Universiade. It is also the fourth Universiade held in western China.

The Chengdu Universiade was originally scheduled to be held from August 65438 to August 29th, 20021,but it was postponed to June 26th to July 7th, 2022 due to the global epidemic. On June 20, 2023, at 65438, the delegation of Chengdu Universiade sent a New Year invitation to college sports associations in 136 countries or regions.
