What do you mean, good or bad is not in the sound of birds?

The first kind: This sentence comes from A Dream of Red Mansions-I only heard the old lady falling to the ground outside the eaves and flying to the southeast. Baoyu said, "I don't know good or bad luck." Daiyu said, "People are good or bad, not in the sound of birds."

The second kind: the magpie doesn't sound good,

Are crows fierce?

Good or bad things in the world,

Not in the song of birds.

This is a poem written by the stepwife of Xu, a magistrate of a county in Zhejiang Province in the Ming Dynasty for crows. Interestingly, the magistrate of a county has long been forgotten, but his backyard has remained in history because of this little poem.

This poem is ordinary and nothing special, but what it expresses is extraordinary and thought-provoking.

In the eyes of the world, crow is an ominous thing, especially its singing is frightening, which is an "ominous sign" and everyone is afraid to avoid it. Even its mouth was implicated. When a person does not shy away from indifference and make irresponsible remarks, people call him a "crow mouth". On the contrary, magpies belonging to the same family are favored by people because of their beautiful voices. The so-called "magpies call good news" has always had a high status.

It is really wrong to forcibly "match" the "irrelevant" things, harming innocent people and slandering crows for a long time.
