The method of determining the year of the tiger
The Year of the Tiger is determined according to the traditional calendar of China. The "tiger" in the zodiac corresponds to the "yin" in the twelve earthly branches. The Year of the Tiger is a cloudy year, and every twelve years is regarded as a cycle.
Sixty years of Jiazi, the heavenly stems were 10 and the earthly branches were 12, which was used by Zi Chou Yin Mao at noon in Tatsumi. Starting from Jiazi, Yechou, Bingyin and Dingmao, only 60 rows completed a cycle.
This is a bit complicated and hard to remember, so the ancients thought of using animals to represent complex earthly branches. They are Zodiac Mouse, Ugly Cattle, Yinhu, Maotu, Chen Long, Sishe, Wuma, Weiyang, Shenhou, Youyou Chicken, Red Dog and Hai Pig.
