Why can't you buy and sell the meat left over from the year-old pig?

The annual pork sales were fined 1 10,000 yuan. Why can't you buy and sell the meat left over from the killing pig?

Spring Festival is the most solemn traditional festival in China. Many places have different customs and habits, and among the local customs, the one with the highest occurrence rate and repetition rate is "Killing Year Pig".

In many provinces in the south and north of China, killing Nian pig is a custom to enrich the taste of Nian. In the northeast, once the twelfth lunar month arrives, the annual flavor "der" in the village will come up one after another. Neighbors help each other and eat a steaming pig-killing dish together.

However, although pigs are good, if they are not killed well, they may break the law. Let's give two examples:

202 1 12 A farmer in Nantong, Jiangsu Province slaughtered the pigs he had kept in his village for a year, and then kept some for the New Year. Most of them were bought by villagers in the same village, leaving 22 Jin for farmers to sell to their nephews who sell pork in the market.

However, because the price was lower than the market price, it was reported and was eventually fined 6,543,800 yuan.

At the end of 20021,a villager in rural Guizhou bought a pig from his fellow villagers, slaughtered it and sold it in the market. After being discovered by local law enforcement officers, he was fined 20 thousand yuan.

Seeing these cases, many small partners were shocked. "Hey, is it illegal to kill pigs for one year?" In fact, we can't generalize. It is still possible to kill pigs in rural areas, but we must abide by laws and regulations.

Kill a pig

Pigs are the fourth animal successfully domesticated by human beings. According to the evidence of genetics and archaeology, Chinese ancient people successfully domesticated wild boar into domestic pigs as early as about 9000 years ago, thus making human beings have another meat source after sheep and goats, and it is a more productive meat source than sheep.

Pigs were called tapirs in ancient times, and tapirs were the main part of the family. It can be seen that in the eyes of the ancients, the status of pigs used to be very high: "Only pigs have homes." However, eating pork was a luxury in ancient times. After all, in the past, pigs had no concentrated feed and the breeding cycle was relatively long, but the new year is different. In order to celebrate this most important festival, people also give themselves some comfort after working hard for a year.

Killing pigs has a history of thousands of years in China. Because pork was rare in the past, killing a pig would leave all the meat, except that the owner who killed the pig took away a set of meat, and the neighbors who came to help could get some meat. During the China New Year, a pig will be digested.

Why should I be punished for killing pigs?

In fact, there is no problem in killing pigs. After all, this is a traditional custom that has been passed down for thousands of years. There are no laws and regulations prohibiting the killing of pigs. However, there are rules for killing pigs. According to the Regulations on the Management of Pig Slaughtering:

The state practices a system of pig slaughtering at designated points and centralized quarantine. Without a fixed point, no unit or individual may engage in pig slaughtering activities, except for self-slaughter and self-feeding in rural areas.

In order to be more straightforward, let's give an example: Xiao Li lives in the countryside, and it is not illegal to pull his pigs into the yard before the Spring Festival. At the same time, it is not illegal for Xiao Li to send some pork to his neighbors in the same village, but it is illegal for Xiao Li to bring the pigs from the farm to the city for slaughter, because he moved the slaughter place from the countryside to the city.

If Xiao Li takes pork to the market for sale, it will be even more illegal, because only self-slaughter and self-feeding are allowed in rural areas.

As for the two examples mentioned above, the reason for the different fines is the different violations. A fine of 654.38+ 10,000 yuan is not only sold in the market, but also sold at a price lower than the market price, which is a combined punishment for several crimes, while a fine of 20,000 yuan is just not allowed to be sold in the market.

Seeing this, many friends still don't understand: "Isn't it delicious to eat pigs raised by farmers?" Why can't you buy and sell? "

Why can't pigs slaughtered in rural areas be sold?

All the pork we can buy in the market has passed the quarantine and quality inspection, so when we buy meat, we can often see two blue-purple seals on the pigskin, one of which is the quarantine seal and the other is the food conformity seal.

After reading these two chapters, we can buy pork with confidence. This kind of pork is not only fresh, but also the safety of meat quality can be guaranteed. Of course, we can't say that the pigs fed by farmers are unsafe, but if this phenomenon is not banned, it will be easily used by some people, and finally we ordinary people will suffer.

First of all, if the pig slaughtered by ourselves can be sold in the market, it has not passed any inspection, that is, if it is a dead pig, we have no way to know, but dead pork is harmful to people, and people who secretly sell pork will not tell us.

Secondly, if pigs are infected with infectious diseases such as African swine fever and sold in the market, the threat is also great. When some pig farmers come to the market to buy meat and vegetables, they may bring germs back to their pig farms. African swine fever is a highly contagious virus with high mortality, which will make farmers lose blood.

The third is the problem of "swill pigs". In the past, people raised pigs at home, which were actually swill pigs. Usually, some pot washing water and vegetable soup are poured into the swill bucket, and then mixed with wheat bran and corn to feed pigs. This was not a big problem before.

However, swill pigs can't eat now, because there are too many additives in various seasonings, and some people even buy swill from some restaurants to feed pigs. This swill is high in fat, and pigs can eat it quickly, but this swill pig is forbidden. Without quarantine and inspection, we think the farm pork we bought may be swill pork.

Killing pigs is a traditional custom in many places, and there is no problem in itself. As the Spring Festival approaches, killing pigs in the village can make the taste of the year stronger, but pigs killed by themselves are not allowed to be sold in the market. This is actually a regulation for the food safety of ordinary people and to crack down on some unscrupulous traders. There is no conflict between the two. After all, no one wants to buy sick pigs and swill pigs during the New Year. What do you think?
