How big is Luoyang?
Luoyang is one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China with a long history. According to historical records, the history of Luoyang can be traced back to around 207 BC, that is, the end of the Warring States Period. At that time, the founding emperor Qin Shihuang established Luoyang County after unifying the six countries, which marked the establishment of Luoyang as an administrative center. Since then, Luoyang has experienced the ups and downs of Han, Wei, Jin, Sui and Tang Dynasties, and has become an important political, economic and cultural center.
Especially in the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Luoyang reached its brilliant peak. It was the capital of China at that time, with a large population, prosperous culture and great achievements in the fields of art, science and literature. However, during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Luoyang suffered from repeated wars and abandoned the city several times until the Northern Song Dynasty.
To sum up, Luoyang has a history of at least 2,000 years and is one of the ancient capitals with an important position in the history of China.
