Guanyin's three birthdays are February 19, June 19 and September 19.

Guanyin Bodhisattva is one of the four great Buddhists in China. Since the Sui and Tang Dynasties, people have gradually formed a wide range of belief in Guanyin Bodhisattva, and formed three Buddhist festivals focusing on worshipping Guanyin, namely, Guanyin's birthday, Guanyin's enlightenment day and Guanyin's becoming a monk day. In some places, these three festivals are called Guanyin Bodhisattva Christmas.

Among them, February 19 of the lunar calendar is the day when Guanyin was born, which is also the birthday of Guanyin. June 19th is the day when Guanyin became a monk, and September 19th is the day when Guanyin became a monk. Every three major Guanyin festivals, major temples will hold grand Guanyin ceremonies to celebrate.

Significance of Guanyin Bodhisattva's Birthday

The popularity of Guanyin Bodhisattva is often related to her delicate, plump and dignified female image. The image of Guanyin is wearing a corolla, a necklace, a gold bracelet on her wrist and a skirt around her waist. The whole body is elegant and generous, just like a lady. Therefore, people affectionately call her "Goddess of Guanyin", and her magical power is infinite. In many cases, she is also called "Goddess of Guanyin" and "Goddess of Guanyin".
