The hilly fruit producing area in southern Liaoning is the northernmost part of the temperate fruit growing area in China. It is a fruit base mainly producing apples and the largest commercial apple production base at present. It is known as one of the three major orchards in China (the other two are Jiaodong hilly fruit producing areas in the Pearl River Delta and tropical and subtropical fruit producing areas). The quality and quantity of apples in Liaoning are great, mainly due to the unique natural conditions. There is little rainfall and plenty of sunshine here, and there is a big temperature difference between day and night in autumn, so apples mature late, are well colored, and the pulp is not easy to be saccharified into cotton, which is resistant to storage. The late-maturing Guoguang is the main variety of apples in this area, including "Hongyu", "Huang Kui", "Liaofu" and "Haitang" 100. Guoguang apple has strong adaptability and is relatively cold-resistant. Generally, it blooms in early May and matures at the end of 10 and the beginning of 1 10. It can bear fruit after planting for 4-5 years, with a long fruiting period, and the yield accounts for about 70% of Liaoning apples. It is the fist product of Liaoning apple at present.
Dalian yellow peach
Yellow peach is a famous fruit in southern Liaoning, with the most famous varieties such as "Luxiangtao", "Lianhuangtao" and "Fenghuangtao" in Dalian, and won the title of national first-class canned peach. The canned peaches in syrup processed in Dalian and Yingkou have neat fruit pieces and thick juice, which can be compared with the canned peaches in Dimen, a famous American brand.
Qiu she
One of the fruits that constitute the "fruit garden" in southern Liaoning. Deciduous trees The fruit is yellow-white, the juice is delicious, it is obovate or ovoid, and it is often grafted and propagated. Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi and other Huanghuai basins are also cultivated. Liaoning focuses on western Liaoning, and Jinxi and Suizhong are the most concentrated. Suitable for planting in sunny sandy soil. The fruit is huge, the stone is small, and it is storable. At present, the annual output has exceeded 50,000 tons. Besides selling well in big cities in China, it is also exported.
Hawthorn in Liaoning
Hawthorn is planted all over Liaoning, and its area and output rank among the top in China. The fruit is slightly sour and sweet, and is mostly used to make cakes, sauces, French fries and candied haws, and can also be eaten raw. It can help digestion, remove blood stasis and treat Shantou qi. "Da Jinxing" in Haicheng, Liaoning, "Liao Hong" in Liaoyang and "Red Soybean" in Kaiyuan County are all famous varieties. Recently, a kind of hawthorn, namely black fruit and green meat hawthorn, was discovered in southern Liaoning. Its fruit is dark green, with a diameter of about 1 cm, and its kernel is small and sweet. In Xifeng County and Kuandian County, there is also a kind of "soft hawthorn", which is also a kind of hawthorn variety with sweet and sour fruit flavor.
Tussah silk and tussah silk
Tussah originated in China, and Liaoning, Shandong, Henan and other places are the main producing areas of tussah cocoons in China, among which Liaoning ranks first in the country. Stocking tussah is to put silkworms on wild tussah trees to eat and grow, instead of picking and feeding them like silkworms. Tussah is stocked twice a year, namely, spring silkworm and autumn silkworm. The main purpose of stocking spring silkworms is to obtain autumn silkworms, while autumn silkworms are mainly to obtain cocoons. Tussah silk is soft in luster, good in hand feel, breathable and comfortable. Dandong is a concentrated producing area of tussah silk.
