What does Ansan mean?

An Shan is a Chinese word, which means "the evil in the south". In feng shui, Anshan is an unlucky direction and needs to be avoided. Ancient geomantic omen thought that the south was the place with the strongest yang, and that the south was a fierce place, which might bring bad luck and misfortune. Therefore, when someone's eight-character numerology or animal sign collides with the south, it is called "An Mountain". Some folk beliefs also believe that one day it is not appropriate to travel south or engage in certain activities, otherwise it will be unfortunate.
