Introduction to 1644
1644 is a leap year, a year of the monkey, a lunar year, the seventeenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, the first year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, the first year of Yongshun in Dashun (Li Zicheng), the first year of Dashun in the Western Han Dynasty (Zhang) and the calendar of Huangdi in 4342. This year coincided with the alternation of four regimes: Daming, Daqing, Dashun and Daxi. Year number: the seventeenth year of Daming Chongzhen, the first year of Qing Shunzhi, the first year of Dashun Yongchang and the first year of Daxi Destiny.
