Combating pornography and illegal publications is a technical term of cultural market management and a law enforcement activity.

It is an important means to purify the cultural market to carry out activities to eliminate pornography and illegal publications, which is the responsibility of the "Office for Combating Pornography and Illegal Publications". The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television is responsible for organizing, guiding and coordinating the nationwide work of "eliminating pornography and illegal publications", organizing and investigating major cases, and undertaking the daily work of the national working group of "eliminating pornography and illegal publications".

According to the adjustment of the above functions, the main responsibilities of the national "anti-pornography and illegal publications" working group office are:

(a) to formulate the principles, policies and plans for "eliminating pornography and illegal publications" in the publication market, participate in drafting laws, regulations and rules for the supervision of the publication market, and organize their implementation.

(two) to investigate and study the situation of the publication market and the dynamics of illegal publishing activities, formulate the work plan of "eliminating pornography and illegal publications" in the publication market, and organize the implementation, supervision and inspection.

(three) to participate in the formulation of macro-control policies and important management measures for the publication market. Participate in planning the total number, structure and layout of publishing, printing, reproduction and distribution units.

(seven) to organize, coordinate and guide the relevant departments and localities to "eliminate pornography and illegal publications" and the supervision of the publication market.

(nine) to be responsible for the inspection, assessment, recognition and reward of the national work of "eliminating pornography and illegal publications".

(eleven) to formulate the national information construction plan for the work of "eliminating pornography and illegal publications" and guide its implementation.
