The historical evolution of Xuanhan County in Sichuan Province is as follows:
Xuanhan County was established in the second year of Yongyuan in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 90). It now governs Tongchuan District of Dazhou City, which means "promoting the virtue of Han". It now governs Dachuan, Tongchuan, Xuanhan, Kaijiang, Wanyuan, Tongjiang and Chengkou of Chongqing City in Bazhong City, belonging to Bazhou County of Yizhou.
In the early years of Liu and Song Dynasties (439), there were four counties in the county: Baqu (now governing Heixi Temple in Nanba Town), Xiapu (now governing Tiaohe Village in Hu Jia Town), Shi 'an (now governing Niubei Village in Lindong Town) and Dongguan (now governing Gaoti Village in Wubao Town), which were subordinate to Baqu County in Liangzhou.
At the end of Wei Dynasty (about 450 years), Hanxing County was established (governing Majiaba in Huajing Town today), and Hanxing was changed to Liu Xi County in the Western Wei Dynasty (about 535 years), which was abolished in 627.
In the second year of Liang Wudi Datong (536), the county established dongxiang county (now Puguang Town), which was abolished in 1285.
In the second year of Gong (555), Linqing County established a county boundary (governing Caojiezi in Dongxiang Town today), which was abolished in 585.
In the fifth year of Emperor Yangdi's reign (585), Xuanhan County was established (Gaoti Village, now Wubao Town), which was abolished in 627.
In the third year of Tang Wude (620), the county was located in Changle County (now Wanhuba, Huang Tu Town) and abandoned in 625.
In the ninth year of Tang Tianbao (750), Langya County was located in the county territory (now Maduguan Town), which was abolished in 967.
In the first year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1465), the county was restored to dongxiang county (now Dongxiang Town), which was under the jurisdiction of Chengxuan Prefecture in Sichuan. Zheng Dejiu (15 14) was changed to Dazhou.
In the 14th year of Shunzhi (1657), Dongxiang entered the Qing Dynasty. Originally, it was the Kuizhou government in the east of Sichuan. In the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), it was changed to Zhili Dazhou, and in the seventh year of Jiaqing (1802), it was promoted to Suiding government.
In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), Dongxiang was under the jurisdiction of Chongqing military government. In February, the Chengdu-Chongqing military government merged and became part of the Shu military government. In March, the Shu military government changed its name to Sichuan Dudufu, and Dongxiang was Suiding County in East Sichuan.
In the third year of the Republic of China (19 14), Dongxiang belonged to Dongchuan Road in Sichuan. Autumn, because Jiangxi and dongxiang county have the same name, it changed dongxiang county, Sichuan to Xuanhan County, Sichuan.
In the fifth year of the Republic of China (19 16), the warlords in Sichuan became independent, and the Taoist Ministry existed in name only. Xuanhan County has successively belonged to the National Defence Force, Guo Jingjun, Jiang Fangjun, reinforcements after northwest autonomy, Sichuan-Shaanxi Army and Sichuan-Shaanxi border guards.
In the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933) 10, the Fourth Army of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants liberated Xuanhan, established the Soviet regime in Xuanhan County, and included seven towns, such as Huangjin, Changxi and Maoba, into the newly established Hongsheng County (where Tanba, Wanyuan City is located today).
In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), in March, the Red Army left the county seat, and 7 townships remained Xuanhan. The county belongs to the fifteenth administrative supervision area of Sichuan Province, and the Commissioner's Office is located in Tongchuan District today.
1949 12 17 The People's Liberation Army entered the city and Xuanhan was liberated, belonging to Daxian District in northern Sichuan.
1952 0 September 1 day, Sichuan provincial people's government was established and changed to Daxian area.
1September, 968, Daxian area was renamed Daxian area.
1July, 993, Daxian area was renamed Dachuan area.
