Putuo Mountain is located in the eastern waters of Zhoushan Archipelago and belongs to Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. It is called "Four Famous Buddhist Mountains in China" together with Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, Emei Mountain in Sichuan and Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui.
