On this day, the son of heaven led three officials and nine ministers to the northern suburbs to hold a winter welcoming ceremony, and returned after the ceremony to reward those who died for their country and pay for their wives and children. According to legend, the origin of Tomb-Sweeping Day was during his exile in Zhong Er, Jin Wengong. He was tired and hungry on the road. He cut a piece of meat from his thigh and made soup for Zhong Er. Zhong Er was so grateful that he decided to repay the resignation in the future. Jie tui later went into seclusion, but Jin Wengong was bent on repaying him. In order to let him out, Jin Wengong set fire to Jietui and burned him to death. To commemorate Jiexiu, Jin Wengong designated this day as Tomb-Sweeping Day.
