Who can read Ashes of Time? I haven't understood it after reading it several times.

If, as Du Qifeng said, Wong Kar-wai only made one film, it should be Ashes of Time. This film contains Wong Kar-wai's most classic sad lines, with consistent decadent beauty and Wong Kar-wai's most comprehensive insight into modern people's hearts. Later films more or less inherited a theme, but this one is the most profound.
