The Historical Evolution of Bangkok
1767, the old capital was captured and completely destroyed by the Burmese army, and the Wu Li dynasty was annexed by Wu Li in Hexi. 1782, Emperor Zhaopi Charyk (Rama I) of Bangkok dynasty moved the capital from Tunwuli, west of Chao Phraya River, to Bangkok, east of the river.
