Which teaching theory advocates scaffolding teaching?
Scaffolding teaching is a constructivist theory. Based on Vygotsky's "zone of proximal development" theory, it puts forward a student-centered teaching model, which enables students to climb up along the scaffolding built by teachers and gradually realize their learning goals. The concept of "student-centered" advocated in this teaching is consistent with the concept of new curriculum reform. It creates learning situations according to students' needs and text content, and takes the knowledge system out of the cocoon, thus building a bridge to the script for students.
Characteristics of scaffolding teaching:
Based on Vygotsky's thought, the constructivism borrowed scaffolding used in the construction industry as a visual metaphor of the above conceptual framework, the essence of which is to use the above conceptual framework as scaffolding in the learning process.
As mentioned above, the concepts in this framework are necessary to develop students' further understanding of the problem, that is, the framework should be established according to the "nearest development zone" of students' intelligence, so students' intelligence can be continuously improved from one level to another with the support of this scaffold, and teaching can really lead the development.
