Huang Lue, the author of Fuchun, on Huang Zhi's death.

Huang was born in 1269 and died in 1354. A famous painter and Quanzhen Taoist in Yuan Dynasty, he is long in word, elegant in Taoism and strong in Taoism.

Huang, formerly known as Lu Jian, was adopted by a family named Huang in Pingyang County, Yongjia County after his parents died since childhood. From then on, Lu Jian changed his name to Huang.

In the first year of Yuan Dynasty to Zhengzheng, Huang was appointed as an accountant by Xu Ying, a visiting scholar in western Zhejiang, and later worked under Xu Ying for a period of time. The officialdom is dark, and power struggles occur from time to time. Too many officials have been imprisoned because of this political struggle, and Huang is one of them. Huang is a good clerk, serious and responsible, without any mistakes. Finally, he was arrested and imprisoned for being falsely accused.

After he was released from prison, Huang was full of disappointment with the dark officialdom, so he studied under Jin and joined Quanzhen Sect. The abbot in front of Wanshou Palace mentioned Kaiyuan Palace. Later, he traveled to Songjiang, Hangzhou and other places to sell hexagrams for a living.

There has been dissatisfaction with the dark and chaotic secular world. After entering Quanzhen religion, which advocates the unity of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, Huang has more understanding of the world of mortals. He began to travel around the world, roaming the world. Huang has traveled to famous mountains and rivers for a long time and has a strong interest in mountains and rivers. This is why most yellow paintings are famous mountains and rivers.

Huang is obsessed with mountains and rivers. In order to better appreciate the charm of mountains and rivers, when he lived in the same place, the local mountains and rivers seemed to be his lover, which made him linger.

When I lived in Yushan, I slept from morning till night, immersed in nature, and observed the beautiful scenery of Yushan at dusk, which was captured by my heart and conveyed by my pen.

Huang, who lives in Songjiang, is obsessed with mountains and rivers to the point of obsession and madness. Immersed in observing the mountains and rivers, he often sits on the mountain for a day, endlessly, forgetting to eat and sleep.

When he lived in Fuchun, he always carried a piece of leather on his back and his mind was full of his painting tools. Walking into the mountains, whenever he sees the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers, he will spread out the picture and imitate what he sees. There is Daling Mountain to the north of the Yangtze River. Wang Gong lived here in seclusion in his later years. He took Dalingshan as his teacher and drew Fuchun Shan Jutu.

It is the highest achievement of Huang Yisheng's painting. This painting began in Zheng Zhi in seven years, and it was intermittent. After several years, until ten years, when Huang wrote this painting, it was still not finalized. At that time, Huang was 83 years old, which was definitely his most skillful time.

Depicting the early autumn scenery on both sides of Fuchun River, the hillside is undulating, the beautiful forest is beautiful, the pen and ink are boundless, and it is simple and boundless. It is the treasure of ancient landscape painting in China. Unfortunately, due to man-made reasons, the Fuchun Tomb Map was finally, er, burned into two parts, and later generations named it Fuchun Shan Jutu and Fuchun Shan Jutu respectively.

Although Huang has made great achievements in painting, he began to learn landscape painting at the age of fifty. At first, Huang studied under Dong Yuan, Guan Tong, Li Cheng and others. In his later years, perhaps he knew mountains and rivers like the back of his hand and had his own unique views, so his paintings changed greatly and became his own.

In his later years, Gong lived in Shaojiquan, Hangzhou at the age of 86.
