What do you mean by family hall?

The ancestors in a family hall showed Zhao Mu's divinity, so they changed "A" to surname.

For example, Zhao Mu Kao Yu, in the court of the Zhao family, is a relative of all dynasties, and his status is sacred. The memorial tablet of the family is to fold a piece of fire paper into a sail-like style, and write the names of ancestors one by one with a brush, such as Taizu taboo, Gaozu taboo and so on.

Less on the left is the taboo of our ancestors' wives. In the past, many rural women didn't have names, so they were marked with XX's surname, but the man's surname must come first and the woman's surname must come last. For example, if the man's surname is Liu and the woman's surname is Zhang, that is, write "Liu Zhang's surname" and "spiritual position" at the bottom. Each memorial tablet is written vertically.

The custom of "inviting a family"

After writing the family memorial tablet, put the card on the special base and the memorial tablet will be ready. Then, it will be placed on the table of the Eight Immortals in order of priority, and then "inviting family" will begin. Family members go to an intersection with paper, incense and firecrackers. First of all, they lit three sticks of incense, put their hands on their chests, faced the ancestral graves from a distance, made several obeisances and said something.

Tell the ancestors that future generations will take it home for the New Year. Then light the paper, set off firecrackers, and walk back with the lit incense in your hand. When you meet a crossroads or corner, insert a stick of incense on the sign as a "signpost" to guide your ancestors to walk.
