Is there any way to stop burping?

In daily life, burping is a very normal physiological reaction. I remember when I was in junior high school, the teacher said that air entering caused the diaphragm to contract, which led to what we called hiccups. Everyone must have suddenly burped or heard burping in a particularly quiet place or on some big occasions, and sometimes they would make a joke. To avoid this embarrassing situation, here are some ways to stop burping.

Hold your breath by drinking water: take a few mouthfuls of water and swallow it slowly, then hold your breath for about half a minute until your stomach bulges, swallow it without exhaling, and then repeat. Or you can take a big sip of slightly warmer water and swallow it in several sips (remember my mother said: swallow it seven times at a time), and the effect is also quite good.

Frightening method: Everyone has known this since childhood, that is, when people are frightened, they stimulate the brain nerve to stop the contraction of the diaphragm, so that people around them can pat from behind or shout in their ears when they are not paying attention. (Too scared to retaliate)

Slice ginger and swallow it raw: slice a piece of ginger, then chew it in your mouth and swallow it raw. It is said that this method is also very effective, but the average girl will not try boldly. After all, the taste of ginger is really indescribable.

Acupoint massage: You can press Hegu (alias Tiger's Mouth, which is the position between thumb and forefinger). You can put your fingers together and see a bulge like a muscle next to your thumb. Press hard, Hegu point feels sore. Pressing the foot bead (inside the brow) can not only prevent separation, but also be beneficial to press it frequently. Others will press a bone protruding from the back of the neck. I haven't tried it yet.

Stimulating vomiting method: using chopsticks or foreign objects to plug the upper jaw or tongue root to cause vomiting, which can achieve the effect of plugging the nasal septum. It is not recommended to do it in public, and children should not use this method, which is not safe.

How to sneeze: Stimulating the nose to sneeze once or twice when burping can stop it well. It has been tried and tested since childhood, but it is easy to bite your tongue.

Stick out your tongue: wash your hands and pull your tongue to the base of your tongue (I don't think it's elegant).

Vinegar therapy: take a sip of vinegar and swallow it slowly, which can stop burping, but will the feeling of drinking vinegar be more sour than burping?

Eat dry bread: eat dry bread or baked buns, or biscuits, the effect and principle are the same.

These are some scientific methods that I have summarized. You can try them when you burp, and then you don't have to worry about the embarrassment of burping.
