Opening hours of Chaoshan Museum

Opening hours: Tuesday-Sunday 9: 00- 17: 00 (legal holidays will be postponed to 17:30). Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center brings together the essence of Chaoshan culture. It is a large museum integrating culture, exhibition, leisure, tourism and other functions, which fully embodies and displays the "Chaoshan" culture and is also an experimental area for overseas Chinese economic and cultural cooperation.

The functional division of the main building includes four exhibition areas: Chaoshan cultural relics exhibition area, Chaoshan folk custom exhibition area, overseas Chinese culture exhibition area and painting and calligraphy art exhibition area. It has become a public building integrating collection, exhibition, research, communication, education, leisure and cultural services, and is the most important comprehensive cultural Expo building in Chaoshan area to display Chaoshan history and culture.

In the south, there is nearly 10,000 square meters of Ying Ge Square, which is also the entrance of Chaobo Pavilion. If you drive here, you can park in the underground garage and enter the museum through Ying Ge Square. Entering the Chaobo Pavilion, a giant red-headed boat in the lobby on the first floor will definitely attract your attention. This is the spiritual sign that Chaoshan area began to sail to the world and strive for self-improvement.

The design of the hall is very interesting. The theme of the hall is "just visiting", and it has a natural stretch, staggered wavy platforms and viewing corridors. Through these corridors, you can stroll through the whole hall and watch the contents of the exhibition halls on all floors. In the corridor on the second floor, please remember to stop and enjoy the magnificent large-scale scroll "Chaoshan Scenery" created by 128 famous Chaozhou painters at home and abroad for four years.
