Mike's family lives on a farm by the sea. One day, 14-year-old son Angus saw a homeless little yellow dog on the side of the road. Unexpectedly, Angus brought the puppy home, but it was strongly opposed by his family. However, at Angus' insistence, Mike gave up the idea of sending the puppy to an animal shelter and decided to adopt the poor little yellow dog and named it Xiao Huang.
