1, recover hard disk data with formatting errors.
In the higher version of DOS, by default, the format operation format establishes disk information for recovering formatting. In fact, it copies all the contents of DOS boot sector, fat partition table and directory table to the last sector of the disk (because the following sectors are rarely used), but the contents in the data area have not changed at all. We all know that there is a very good tool UnFormat in the DOS era, which can restore the disk cleared by the Format command. If users mistakenly use the Format command to format partitions in DOS, you can try this command. However, UnFormat can only restore local hard disks and software drives, but not network drives. UnFormat command in addition to the above un format function, it can also repair and establish the damaged partition table on the hard disk drive.
However, at present, UnFormat seems to be a bit "inadequate", and the method of restoring formatted partitions with Unformat is a bit outdated. We can use various recovery software to recover data, such as Easyrecovery 6.0 and Finaldata2.0, which can promote data recovery. In addition, DOS also provides miror command to record the information of the current disk, so that it can be restored after formatting or deleting. This method is also effective.
2. Data recovery when zero track is damaged
The main boot recording area (MBR) of the hard disk is on the zero track. MBR is located in the 1 sector of track 0 on the 0 th cylinder of hard disk, in which the hard disk master boot program and hard disk partition table are stored. In a total of 5 12 bytes of hard disk master boot sector, 446 bytes belong to the hard disk master boot program, 64 bytes belong to the hard disk partition table (DPT), and two bytes (55 AA) belong to the partition end flag. Once the zero track is damaged, the main boot program and partition table information of the hard disk will be seriously damaged, resulting in the hard disk being unable to boot. Judgment of track 0 damage: the system self-test can pass, but the partition is lost or the C disk directory is lost at startup, and the hard disk makes a regular "creaking ……" seek sound. When ScanDisk scans drive C, a red "B" appears in the first cluster, or Fdisk can't find the hard disk and DM dies on track 0. This situation is zero trajectory damage!
Zero track damage is one of the bad tracks of hard disk, but its location is very important, so once it is damaged, it will have serious consequences. If track 0 is damaged, the data cannot be completely recovered according to the current common methods. Generally, a hard disk with a damaged track 0 can be sector-deflected by PCTOOLS' DE disk editor (or DiskMan), and 1 track can be used as the track 0. Easyrecovery can restore data according to the cluster, but it can't guarantee the complete recovery of data.
3. Data repair when partition table is damaged
The sector where the master boot record (MBR) of the hard disk is located is also the key attack site of the virus. By destroying the DPT (partition table) in the main boot sector, the partition information of the hard disk can be easily destroyed, thus achieving the purpose of destroying data. The destruction of partition table is the destruction of partition data and records. So, we can use software to fix it.
Generally speaking, after the hard disk is partitioned, the partition table should be backed up to floppy disk, CD-ROM or removable storage disk. In this regard, domestic well-known antivirus software KV3000 series and Rising provide complete solutions. However, for the hard disk without backup partition table, although KV3000 also provides corresponding repair methods, the success rate is relatively low. In the recovery partition, Norton Disk Doctor NDD is an absolutely powerful tool, which can automatically repair the loss of partition, rescue the data in the bad area of floppy disk, and move it to other blank sectors after forced reading. In the case of hard disk crash or abnormality, it may bring a glimmer of hope to users. After the problem occurs, start from the startup disk, run "NDD", and then select "Diagnose" to diagnose. NDD will fully scan the hard disk, and if there are any errors, it will prompt you, and then it can easily solve these problems by simply selecting the repair items according to the software prompts.
In addition, DiskMan, a famous Chinese disk tool, has a very practical function in reconstructing the partition table, which is most suitable for repairing the damage of the partition table. If the hard disk partition table is seriously damaged by partition adjustment software (or virus), it will inevitably lead to serious consequences of hard disk and system paralysis, and DiskMan can rebuild the partition table through the undamaged partition boot record information. As soon as you select "Rebuild Sub-table" in the toolbar of the menu, DiskMan will start searching and rebuilding partitions. During use, DiskMan will first search the hidden sectors of the 0-cylinder 0 magnetic head from 2 sectors, and find the partition table that has been moved by the virus. Next, search the first sector of each head. The whole search process is automatic or interactive. Automatic mode keeps every partition found, which is suitable for most cases. Interactive mode will prompt each partition found, and users can choose whether to keep it or not. When there is an error in the partition table reconstructed by automatic method, you can search again by interactive method.
However, the function of rebuilding partition table cannot guarantee that the hard disk partition table can be completely repaired. So please remember that "begging for yourself is better than begging for others" or protect your hard drive! Try to avoid hardware damage and virus intrusion, and be sure to back up the partition table; If you don't have a backup, please download a DISKGEN software, and then select the backup partition table in the tool options. Usually, by default, it is backed up to a floppy disk drive. If you don't have a floppy disk drive, you should change the path and output it to the hard disk directory. Then you should burn this backup file to a CD or copy it to a USB flash drive, and never put it on a hard disk, which is the same as no backup!
4. Data recovery after mistaken deletion
In the process of computer use, our most common data recovery is the data recovery after being deleted by mistake, but at this time we must remember never to write information to this partition or disk again, because the files just deleted are most likely to be recovered. In fact, after deleting the hard disk partition with fdisk, the apparent phenomenon is that the data in the hard disk has completely disappeared, and when entering the hard disk without formatting, invalid drives will be displayed. If you understand the working principle of fdisk, you will know that fdisk only rewrites the contents of the main boot sector (sector 0, face 0, track 1) of the hard disk. Specifically, the partition table information of the hard disk is deleted, but the data of any partition in the hard disk has not changed. Because the deletion and formatting operations of the data part of the file have not actually changed, it provides the possibility of file recovery. As long as we use some anti-deletion software (whose working principle is to recover files by comparing partition tables), users can easily achieve the purpose of file recovery. At the same time, there is basically no big difference between the recovery methods of error formatting and error deletion. As long as the partitioned hard disk is not disturbed by the FDISK command (it is very convenient and practical to partition the hard disk within 40G by using the Fdisk command, which is available on all startup disks and there is no problem with motherboard support), the cluster occupied by the file to be restored will not be occupied by other files, so most of the data before formatting can still be restored. Moreover, if your Windows system can still be used normally, the simplest recovery method is to use the Windows version of EasyRecovery software, which has a very powerful function of recovering hard disk data. It can not only recover files cleared in the recycle bin, but also recover files in formatted FAT 16, FAT32 or NTFS partitions.
The use of this software is very simple. After unzipping and installing, run EasyRecovery and the main interface will appear. There are four function buttons and two software support buttons on the left. Disk diagnosis can help us to test potential hardware failures, monitor and report potential drive failures, view the details of drive space usage, set IDE hard disk jumper, analyze file structure and create a bootable diagnostic disk. Moreover, the data recovery options provided by the six function buttons are very important for the hard disk data recovery we need, and EasyRecovery Professional provides a variety of data recovery options. These include: customizing data recovery functions with advanced options, finding and recovering deleted files, recovering files from formatted volumes, and not recovering from any file system structure information. The software can also save the progress of data recovery and create a bootable emergency startup floppy disk.
In practice, we will select the advanced option to customize the data recovery function for data recovery operation. After scanning, disk drive information will be displayed. Here, we choose hard disk partition C for data recovery. According to the prompt requirements, after clicking "Next", the software EasyRecovery Professional will automatically scan the partition, and then all the detailed file information will be displayed, including the files that still exist and have been deleted. Next, select the file to be restored, and then select "Next" to enter the target location selection screen. After a while, EasyRecovery successfully retrieved the lost file, and then selected Cancel to exit the tool.

When deleting files in Windows, only the directory information will be deleted from FAT or MFT(NTFS). This means that the file data is still on your disk. Therefore, from a technical point of view, this file can be recovered. It is through this mechanism that FinalData recovers the lost data, even after emptying the recycle bin. In addition, FinalData can be easily recovered from formatted files and files damaged by viruses. Even in extreme cases, if the directory structure is partially destroyed, it can be restored as long as the data is still saved on the hard disk.
EasyRecovery is a very powerful hard disk data recovery tool, which can help you recover the lost data and rebuild the file system.
