Rehmannia glutinosa is processed by steaming nine times and drying nine times.

The steaming method comprises steaming Radix Rehmanniae for 1 2hr, stewing for12hr, turning up and down1time, stewing twice, taking out, and cooling.

Nine-steaming and nine-drying method is to take Radix Rehmanniae, add appropriate amount of yellow wine, mix well, heat with strong fire until the smell of wine is completely absorbed, collect the juice of Radix Rehmanniae in a clean container, and when it is suitable for steaming Radix Rehmanniae, take it out and dry it for nine days until the center is weak.
