Researchers or photographers have to take a chance to see wild pandas, not to mention ordinary tourists.

However, the artificial breeding technology of Sichuan giant pandas is relatively mature. The Sichuan government strongly supports the artificial domestication of giant pandas. The number of captive giant pandas accounts for more than 90%, and the giant pandas distributed all over the world are basically shipped from several major bases in Sichuan.

In June, 2007, Chengdu Forestry Department launched the "Panda Capital" project, which contributed to the already strong panda economy. The Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base in the "Scenic Area" receives an average of about 90,000 tourists. In 20 18, Chengdu received tourists150,000 person-times. So the giant pandas in Chengdu are more famous than those in Shaanxi.
