Which is more worth seeing, Lama Temple or Gongwangfu?
The Lama Temple is in the east, near ditan park; Gongwangfu is at the western end, near Beihai Park. The distance between them is about 5 kilometers. If time permits, it is highly recommended.
First, the Lama Temple
The Lama Temple is located in the northeast corner of Beijing. In the thirty-third year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1694), Emperor Kangxi built a palace here and gave it to his fourth son, Yin Zhen, which became the Yongqing Palace. In the third year of Yongzheng, the palace was changed into a palace, named Yonghe Palace. In the 13th year of Yongzheng, Yong Zhengdi died and the coffin was parked here. Therefore, the original green glazed tile in the main hall of Yonghe Palace was changed to yellow glazed tile.
The Lama Temple, because Emperor Qianlong was born here, produced two emperors, which became "the land before the dragon", so the temple is a yellow tile red wall with the same specifications as the Forbidden City Palace. After nine years of Qianlong, the Lama Temple was changed to the Lama Temple, and the Prime Minister Wang was appointed to manage its affairs, which became the center of the Qing government's management of Tibetan Buddhism affairs throughout the country. Lama Temple is the highest-standard Buddhist temple in China in the middle and late Qing Dynasty.
Second, Gongwangfu
Gongwangfu is located in Qianhai West Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, covering an area of 6. 1 12 hectares. In the forty-five years of Qianlong (1780), the great scholar Xiao Shenyang ordered the building of this mansion. In the first year of Xianfeng (185 1), the Qing court gave this mansion to Prince Gong Aisingiorro Yixin, hence the name Prince Gong Wang Fu. It is the most well-preserved Wang Fu complex in China, with more than 30 buildings of various types, with exquisite layout and extraordinary style. Palace Wang Fu was originally the residence of small Shenyang, but it experienced the historical process from its peak to its decline in Qing Dynasty, bearing extremely rich historical and cultural information, so there is a saying that "a palace Wang Fu is half history of qing dynasty".
The harem has been designated as a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction.
