1. Early

Taige Style: From the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, a kind of so-called "Taige Style" poetry appeared. Its founders are "Sanyang", that is, Yang Shiqi, Yang Rong and Yang Pu, all of whom are "Taige ministers", so they call their poems "Taige style". Its appearance is a retrogression in poetry creation, because it only pursues the so-called "elegance" and everything is for singing.

The "Taige Style" formed during the period from Yongle to Chenghua embodies the spiritual outlook and aesthetic taste of the upper-level bureaucrats for a long time after the Hongwu Dynasty, and has exerted a wide influence on the literary world as a model. Its main characters are "Three Sheep": Yang Shiqi, Yang Rong and Yang Pu, all of whom were officials and college students. Most of the creations of senior officials in the same period belong to this type. Their forms are mainly poetry and prose, which can also be included.

Chaling School: From Chenghua to Hongzhi, the creation of Taige-style poetry tended to decline and wither. During this period, Chaling School had an important influence on the literary world. Chaling School is dominated by Li Dongyang, and its members include Xie Duo, Zhang Ying, Shao Bao, Lu Duo and Shi Yao. It emphasizes the pursuit of independent aesthetic spirit of poetry, and corrects the "Taige style" and its superficial poetic style to some extent.

2. Medium-term

The first seven schools: literary schools in Hongzhi and Zhengde periods in Ming Dynasty (1488- 152 1). Members include Li Mengyang, He Jingming, Xu Zhenqing, Bian Gong, Kang Hai, Wang He, and representatives are Li Mengyang and He Jingming. All seven sons are scholars. They are full of moral integrity and oppose corrupt state affairs. Stereotyped stereotyped writing habits. His literary proposition was summarized by later generations as vigorously advocating that "literature must be in Qin and Han Dynasties and poetry must flourish in the prosperous Tang Dynasty", aiming at pointing out a new way to save the lazy poetic style for poetry creation. They all have a strong historical mission to change their literary styles, but they all embarked on an old road of retro as innovation.

The last seven schools: Ming Jiajing and Qin Long (1522- 1566). Its members include Li Panlong, Wang Shizhen, Xie Zhen, Zong Chen, Liang Youyu, Xu Zhongxing and Wu. Li Panlong and Wang Shizhen are the representatives. The last seven sons inherited the literary thoughts of the first seven sons, and also emphasized that "literature must be in Qin and Han dynasties, and poetry must flourish." "There are no words after the Han Dynasty, and there are no words before the Han Dynasty", which is more absolute than that of the first seven poets. They are retro, imitative, style-oriented, eloquent, boastful and widely circulated, thus pushing the retro tendency of Ming literature to a climax.

School of Tang and Song Dynasties: The representatives are Wang, Mao Kun, Gui Youguang and so on during Jiajing period. The school of Tang and Song Dynasties not only respected the traditional position of the three generations of articles in Han Dynasty, but also recognized the inheritance and development of Tang and Song literature. It is a progress that the school of Tang and Song Dynasty changed from studying Qin and Han Dynasties to studying Europe () and literature (). It is also an improvement that the Tang and Song Dynasties attached importance to prose.

3. Late stage

Public security school: in the field of poetry and prose in the late Ming Dynasty, the "public security school" is the most powerful. The representatives of this school are Yuan Zongdao (1560- 1600), Yuan Hongdao (1568- 1665438) and Yuan Zhongdao (65438).

Jingling School: a literary school in the late Ming Dynasty. It was named after Zhong Xing and Tan, the leaders of Jingling. They advocate saving it with the style of "deep loneliness", advocating that literary creation should show "spiritual nature" and oppose the wind of archaizing. The so-called "soul" refers to the "soul" in learning ancient poems, and this "ancient spirit" is nothing more than a "sentimental single line"

Three salient features:

There are many schools of poetry creation. In addition to the national schools with great influence, such as the first seven schools, the last seven schools, the police academy and the Jingling school, there are many regional schools in the past dynasties. This phenomenon is obviously related to the atmosphere of the literati wedding poetry club in Ming Dynasty.

Faced with the decline of orthodox poetry, poets in the Ming Dynasty put forward many theoretical ideas on poetry creation. For example, Gao Qi believes that it is necessary to "learn from others"; Li Dongyang thinks it is necessary to distinguish the tone syllables of poetic style; The former and the latter seven scholars advocated learning from the prosperous Tang Dynasty of Han, Wei and advocating retro; On the other hand, the public security school advocates "expressing their own spirit" and so on. These viewpoints are all reasonable, involving how to learn from the predecessors, how to master the characteristics of poetry style, how to express the poet's subjective feelings and so on. However, most of them put forward the following common weaknesses: first, they overemphasized some truths they realized and lacked the dialectical attitude they deserved; Second, we can't correctly summarize the experience and lessons of poetry development since the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Song and Yuan Dynasties. Third, the key factor to improve the level of poetry creation has not been found, that is, seeking poetry in real life. Therefore, these theoretical propositions failed to save the decline of orthodox poetry, but led poetry creation to a deeper crisis.

(3) Poetry in Ming Dynasty is not as broad and deep as poetry in Tang and Song Dynasties in reflecting real life. Of course, there are eight-part essays that make "the fame and wealth of the Ming Dynasty are all in today's language, the whole paragraph is in today's language, and the poetic style is decadent" (Wu Qiao's Answer to Wanji-Shi Wen), but more importantly, the guiding ideology of the poet's creation is biased, and the simulation of the first seven scholars has become a common practice.

The achievements of poetry in Ming Dynasty are far less than those in Tang and Song Dynasties and later Qing Dynasty. However, during this period, many schools appeared, and the world of poetry presented a very complicated scene.

Song Lian, Liu Ji and Gao Qi, the civil servants in the early Ming Dynasty, were all important poets at that time. They are talented and have political ambitions. Most of their poems are rich in content and have their own characteristics. During the reign of Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty, the "Taige Style" represented by Sanyang (Yang Shiqi, Yang Rong and Yang Pu) occupied a dominant position in the literary world. These three men successively served as university students (prime ministers), which had a great influence, resulting in this elegance and elegance. He is also an official of a college student. He has a prominent position and presided over the poetry circle, which is quite influential. Because he is from Chaling, Hunan, the school of poets headed by him is called Chaling School. Li Dongyang still adhered to the patriarchal clan system of Du Fu and paid attention to the statutes of poetry.

In the mid-Ming Dynasty, some literati were dissatisfied with the style of Taige and strongly demanded to change the style of writing at that time. There are "the first seven poets" headed by Li Mengyang and He Jingming. They "advocated that literature must be in the Qin and Han Dynasties and poetry must be in the prosperous Tang Dynasty", which played a positive role. During the Wanli period, the "Last Seven Scholars" represented by Li Panlong and Wang Shizhen were active in the literary world, with an increasingly obvious tendency to go back to the ancients, and their poetry creation was lacking.

During the Wanli period, the "Gong 'an School", represented by three brothers, Yuan Zongdao, Yuan Hongdao and Yuan Zhongdao, opposed the tendency of the former and the latter seven scholars to imitate the ancient times, and advocated that literary works should show their spiritual essence, that is, the so-called "expressing the spirit alone and not sticking to one pattern". The achievements of the public security school are mainly reflected in prose creation, but there are also quite a few poems. At the same time, the Jingling School headed by Zhong Xing and Tan also opposed the tendency of imitating the ancients.

At the end of Ming Dynasty, the political struggle was sharp and the national crisis deepened. At this time, there appeared some patriotic poets who took the world as their responsibility, represented by Chen Zilong and Xia Wanchun. Their works show strong national integrity, sincere feelings and high value.
