The story of the Yanhuang War

Legend has it that about 4600 years ago, the Yellow Emperor joined the Yan Di tribe, and Chiyou, the leader of the Jiuyi people of Dongyi nationality, fought a hard and fierce war in Zhuolu (now Zhuolu County, Hebei Province), which was a large-scale war in ancient times. Also known as the battle of Zhuolu.

For thousands of years, the Chinese nation has often claimed to be the descendants of the Yellow Emperor.

The so-called Yanhuang refers to Yan Di and Huangdi. However, just as China people claim to be descendants of dragons, no one knows whether dragons really exist. Do Yan Di and the Yellow Emperor exist? Is there a battle between Emperor Yanhuang and Emperor Chiyou? I don't know.

According to reliable historical documents, Emperor Yan was a member of Shennong, a matriarchal society, and Huangdi called himself Xuanyuan after the Deer War. It is conceivable that Huangdi was actually a small tribe. However, when Yandi and Huangdi stood side by side, it was already the patriarchal era, and what happened in it could not be verified, but the rise of Huangdi meant that he represented the development of history, that is, the decline of clan society. The Yellow Emperor became more and more powerful, and the communication between the tribes represented by the Yellow Emperor and the tribes represented by the Yan Emperor, as well as the competition for materials and interests, gradually deepened, and the war broke out inevitably.

History is always strikingly similar. The competition between the Yellow Emperor and Yan Di turned into the competition between the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou. The Yellow Emperor knows how to employ people, but Chiyou is a militant man. His own strength is very strong, but his control over the small tribes below is not in place. There are all kinds of infighting between wars. Obviously, the more people, the more effective the war strategy. It happened that the Yellow Emperor was a man with a special brain. He knew how to use people, and slowly brought some people close to his tribe in Jiuli clan to his tribe, which laid a great foundation for defeating Chiyou.

Chiyou was defeated in the field and killed by Ying Long. Chiyou's flag was sealed with blood and fluttered in the sky, which made Fu Nu and Ying Long unable to return to heaven, providing an opportunity for Dongyi tribe to move south. The body was buried in the water slope in the west of Puyang, known as Emperor Mountain; Chiyou died in the battle of Zhuolu. After the Yellow Emperor, Chiyou was honored as the "Lord of Soldiers", that is, the God of War. His brave image is still frightening. The Yellow Emperor painted his image on the military flag to encourage his army to fight bravely. When the ministers saw Chiyou, they surrendered without fighting.

In addition, there are Shi Feng and Apollo under Chiyou. In the battle of Zhuolu, they created a fog, which brought great inconvenience to the troops of the Yellow Emperor. In addition to these people, it is said that there are Xing Tian, Kuafu, Gong Gong and others. Later, these people were beheaded by the Yellow Emperor, but it is said that they are still fighting the Yellow Emperor with their limbs after their death.

There is a detailed and exaggerated description of this war in Shan Hai Jing. It is said that this war was very fierce, including many gods, and it became a weapon for the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou to attack each other. In this war, both sides used magic and divine power to constantly create storms. Later, the Yellow Emperor broke the storm of Chiyou with the skill of "female Chiyou" and captured and killed Chiyou in Jizhou, thus ending the war.
