Interpreting the History of China 006: Inventions in the Age of the Yellow Emperor.

Hello, friends!

I'm Wang Qingbin, and welcome to my album Colorful History.

The Yellow Emperor has been in power for a long time, 98 years, with strong national strength, political stability, cultural progress and many inventions, which promoted the progress of social civilization.

After the wind and the guided car

Legend has it that the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou fought for three years and 72 times, but failed to win. When Chiyou is on the verge of failure in World War I, please come.

wind and rain

Call the wind and call the rain, making it difficult for the Yellow Emperor's army to attack. The Yellow Emperor also quickly invited a goddess named Hiderigami to cast spells to keep the army from moving forward.

The scheming Chiyou released the fog again, which made the Yellow Emperor's army lose its way. The Yellow Emperor had to order the troops to stop moving, and immediately called ministers to discuss countermeasures. All the other ministers are here except the wind. I sent someone to look for it for a long time, but I couldn't find it. Huangdi had to find it himself.

The Yellow Emperor came to the battlefield and saw the wind behind him.

war chariot

Look up at the sky, become speechless. When you see the Yellow Emperor coming, tell him I have an idea. He pointed to the sky and said to the Yellow Emperor, "Look, why does the Big Dipper in the sky turn, not the handle?" I have heard that Gao Bo found a magnet in the process of quarrying and smelting copper, which can absorb iron. I think based on

The principle of making things that can point the way is not to be afraid of getting lost. "

The Yellow Emperor told this idea to his ministers, and everyone thought it was a good idea. Then, it is the wind design, and everyone starts to do it. After several days and nights of fighting, we finally built an instrument that can guide the direction. Mounted on a chariot after the wind, the dummy points south. In this way, even if you are fascinated by the fog in the war, you can tell the direction.

From then on, the Yellow Emperor's army was no longer afraid of the fog of Chiyou, and finally defeated Chiyou.

However, according to the research of later generations, the compass did exist in ancient times, but it could not have appeared in the Huangdi period, because the "car" had not been invented in the Huangdi period, and the ancient compass was made according to the mechanical principle.

Changji's creation

Before the invention of writing, people recorded what happened by tying knots on ropes. Make a big knot in the big things and summarize the small things. Different colors of rope represent different things. This is called "knotting notes" and is also used by many native tribes in the United States. This is quite amazing. Later, it was developed to carve symbols on bamboo and wood with a knife. However, with the development of history, gradual civilization and the complexity of things, the way of knotting and woodcarving can no longer meet the needs, which has the requirement of coinage.

Cang Xie, a historian under the Yellow Emperor, is responsible for recording all kinds of things, big and small. He is in charge of more and more things, can't remember the method of knot and wood carving, and thinks hard about the solution.

During a hunting trip, Cang Xie suddenly found an old man who could tell the direction of an animal's escape by identifying its footprints. Suddenly, he was inspired and created various hieroglyphs to represent different things. Then use this symbol to record the things you manage and manage things in an orderly way.

The Yellow Emperor was very happy when he learned this, so he popularized this method among tribes and later extended it to other tribes. Everyone improved it in the process of using it, making these symbols more and more abundant, easier to remember and use, and gradually forming a hieroglyphic system.

Archaeological findings prove that China ancestors began to paint on cave walls tens of thousands of years ago, and carved symbols on tortoise shells seven or eight thousand years ago. By the Shang Dynasty, a relatively mature writing system had been formed, that is, Oracle Bone Inscriptions, on the basis of which our current writing evolved. This process of continuous evolution is very clear, which means that Chinese civilization has never been interrupted.

By the way, our Chinese characters are pictographs, that is to say, we can guess what it means when we see a word. Ancient Egyptian characters were also hieroglyphics, but they were later lost. At present, the western writing system is basically evolved from cuneiform characters created by Sumerians in the two river basins. It is a phonetic writing system and a symbol for recording pronunciation, which is completely different from our hieroglyphics.

Lei Zuzhi planted mulberry and raised silkworms.

Lei Zu was the first wife of the Yellow Emperor. After the Yellow Emperor established the tribal alliance, he was responsible for making the clothes and hats formally worn by tribal leaders. At that time, there were no decent raw materials, so we cut bark to weave hemp nets, and then used animal fur, but it was always not enough. Leizu worked hard to raise these raw materials day and night, and as a result, he fell ill and had no appetite for anything.

The women guarding Lei Zu tried to collect special fruits for her to eat in order to make her recover as soon as possible. One day in a mulberry forest, I found small white fruits everywhere on the trees, but I couldn't bite them, so I wanted to cook them for Lei Zu. But I still can't bite after cooking for a long time. As soon as Lei Zu heard about it, he asked them to show it.

When women stir with thin sticks, they find that they can pull out white filaments. Lei Zu started thinking about these thin threads every day, and finally thought of making clothes with them.

In this way, her illness magically recovered slowly, so the women were asked to take her to see the Woods and fruits that picked this ginkgo. Through observation, it is found that this kind of small ginkgo is a kind of insect's vomit filament woven around, not a tree fruit. When she came back, she reported it to the Yellow Emperor and asked him to order the protection of all mulberry trees on the mountain. The Yellow Emperor agreed. Later, silkworms were collected and silk reeling was used to make clothes.

From then on, under the initiative of Lei Zu, the history of planting mulberry and raising silkworm began.

All right, friends, this question is over.

History is wonderful, but history is helpless.

I'm Wang Qingbin. Let me gently tell you that colorful history.
