Going to the grave is not for sacrifice.

Going to the grave is a sacrificial activity. So going to the grave is not all sacrifice. Going to the grave is what we often call sweeping the grave, an activity to pay homage to the dead. Many places in China pay attention to the grave, usually on the memorial day, Tomb-Sweeping Day, the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, the first day of the tenth lunar month and the 23rd twelfth lunar month. The younger generation should prepare the articles needed to pay homage to the deceased (such as cigarettes, wine, rice, snacks, incense, paper money, flowers and a series of sacrifices), and then come to the tomb of the deceased to sweep, to show the feelings of future generations for the deceased.

As a traditional festival in China, Tomb-Sweeping Day is also one of the most important festivals in China. Many people think that offering sacrifices to ancestors means going to the grave to worship and burn paper, so as to pray that the deceased relatives can feel at ease and happy in another world and protect the health of their families. Sacrifice is a part of China's ritual system and a major part of Confucian etiquette. There are five rites, and sacrifice is not more important than sacrifice. Sacrifice is to serve the gods for happiness.
