Nan huaijin, the dynamic work I taught you is the dynamic work of transforming physiological energy.

In fact, if you don't eat after noon and take proper exercise, you don't need to break through the trough. Why do you seldom hear the word "Pigu" in Buddhism? Because many people don't eat for a long time in the afternoon, plus sitting still and running incense, he doesn't need to "break the valley" at all. When the stomach is full to a certain extent, there is no need for food (some don't eat for a short time, some don't eat for a long time). The vitality of our internal organs is produced through the stomach. As we all know, the food we ingest from the mouth is first stored in the stomach, and then transported to the small intestine by grinding the stomach and digesting the gastric juice. After being absorbed in the small intestine, the nutrients are transported to various organs, and the dregs are excreted. The five internal organs produce vitality by absorbing nutrients, and at the same time have the function of excretion.

People who sit still, or those who are weak-willed and suggestive, are induced by others (for example, the sentence "I am too angry to eat" gives him a psychological hint), so that his physiology will be affected by psychology, and he can skip eating without feeling hungry.

Some people are really sure that after their body is full of vitality, they don't need foreign food to supplement their nutrition, and the energy stored in their bodies is enough for their health. Just like some animals eat a lot one or two months before hibernation, just to let their bodies accumulate energy. When winter comes, it will be sealed, so it will not eat, and the energy stored in the body will be taken out for consumption by the body.

Why can you maintain your life without eating or drinking in winter? This is because the body stores enough energy for consumption. It's just that a winter has passed and the energy stored in the body is almost exhausted. When spring returns to the earth and the spirit of the sun begins to rise, hibernating animals also begin to wake up and want to eat.

We "people", whether you practice or not, eat food for a month every year. If you are a yogi, you will usually see the valley this month. Personally, I think it is not fragrant to eat in June of the lunar calendar every year. During my retreat, I didn't eat or drink for a month and meditated every day. There are also some people with strong physical strength and good stomach function who are still engaged in manual labor during the valley, but such people are rare. After the energy stored in the body is exhausted this month, the body begins to accept foreign food again.

People who used to practice often usually improve their skills at this stage. Because food is a feminine thing, the more you eat, the more likely you are to feel groggy and listless. In other words, when you don't eat food, or eat less food, the yang in your body is relatively sufficient. Since it's Yang, go up instead of down.

So many enlightened people in the past were enlightened in the early hours of the valley. That is, after two o'clock and after midnight. Because at this time, the sun of the earth is rising from the bottom up, and the energy in our body is also rising from the bottom up. Taoism and tantra talk about "opening the top", which is also mostly at this time. There will be the rest of the time, but very little. Because at other times, the energy in the body is from top to bottom.

Just like when the lotus blooms in the morning. When we got up in the morning, we found that all the lotus flowers were in bloom! Why do all the showers have to be closed after noon and at night? Because after noon, the energy drops and the lotus is closed. When time passed, the energy rose again, and the lotus bloomed again.

The physiological function of our human body is exactly the same as that of plants in nature. In Taoism, there is a saying that "the soul is full of lust, the soul is full of food, and the heart is full of sleep". Essence here refers to the energy of the human body. What we usually call "so-and-so is particularly energetic" refers to this "essence".

The weaker a person is, the heavier his desire is. Why? Because his energy (or vitality) is not enough, there is enough space in his body for it to flow, and it will be out of order. When a person is full of energy, it will form a whole force. The more full of energy, the less likely it is to move around, so his desires will rarely arise.

Since it is a complete energy body, it will not only go down, but also go up. Because there is a kind of power in our body, which comes from the universe itself and is easy to correspond, communicate and attract with the power of the universe. However, our bodies often consume too much energy, so we can't go up, we can only go down.

When you practice to a certain extent and the energy in your body rises, it will naturally be closely attracted to the power of the universe. Because this power in the body itself comes from a part of the universe. So it can be easily sucked up again and returned to the source.

However, few of us can repair physiological energy enough now, and we can also ensure that it will not leak out. If you can do this, this energy will rise from the bottom to the top. The problem is that few people can do it. Ordinary people either lack energy or miss it when they are full.

If you can fully repair this energy and prevent it from escaping, it will rise in a circle (Du meridian rises, Ren meridian falls in a circle, and then rises from the middle meridian). At this time, you should stop meditating on the ground. You can run to the top of the mountain or to the roof. In short, the higher you are from the ground, the better! Because the ground is attractive.

Since the ground is attractive, why do the branches grow upward instead of facing the ground? This shows that the void of the universe is equally attractive. Therefore, when a person's energy is enough to keep it, it will rise and become qi. This qi is not breath, but vitality. In Taoism, the ancient Chinese character of China is "shua".

When a person wants nothing, essence becomes qi. Desire in a narrow sense refers to sexual desire between men and women; Desire in a broad sense refers to people's "greed, anger, ignorance, slowness and doubt", such as people's aspirations, which can be classified as desire.

Because you have all kinds of desires (including broad and narrow desires), there is no way to maintain your innate vitality, which will become the "essence" of the day after tomorrow. With the essence, your desire will be stronger and you will miss it. Therefore, one of the "Six Rings" in Buddhism is called "Leaking Ten Thousand Rings". As the Buddha said in the Shurangama Sutra, there is nothing to prove. If you want to become a Buddha, it's like cooking sand to make a meal! It is impossible.

Even if you don't leak by some means, you must be able to make this force move back and forth, and rise to the middle and become "Qi". If you subdue this gas, let it continue to rise. When it rises above your head, it will become "light". Below is essence, in the middle is qi, and above is god or light.

Just like a glass of water, it will turn into ice when it meets cold air, water when it meets moderate temperature, steam when it meets high temperature, or smoke or a beam of light. This is why people with high level of practice have light on their heads. He changed the energy below from essence to qi, and turned qi into divine light and radiated it out.

Since our human body can absorb energy through whole grains and then release the energy in our body, we can also absorb the energy of the universe. But you have to reach 84,000 pores in your whole body to absorb external energy.

Since you can absorb energy from the outside, it means that the energy in your body can be released (through 84 thousand pores)! This is why when we sit with a man of high practice, we feel that his body is particularly hot, and his body is very hot; You will also feel awake and more active.

Because his energy field is relatively large, they can influence each other. Just like a big flame, we will feel hot as soon as we get close to it; Or when we walk beside the iceberg, our bodies will get cold. This is a phenomenon of energy interaction.

The so-called "blessing power", for example, this person has a high practice and his body's energy field is relatively large. If he touches you, he can change the energy field inside you. Even the things he used: cups, chopsticks, bowls and clothes have his energy. As long as you touch his things, you can change your own energy field. This is what Buddhism has called "blessing power" for thousands of years!

In fact, the secret is revealed, and that is the function of the energy field. "Energy" is a modern scientific term. There was no such thing as "energy" in the past. The more advanced science is, the more it can prove that what is said in religion is true. Science has a history of only about 200 years, religion has a history of 1 10,000 years, and as far as Buddhism is concerned, it has a history of more than 2,500 years! So science cannot prove religion at present!

Just like China's Huangdi Neijing, scientific research has a history of 5,000 years. According to people's legends, it has a history of 10,000 years, but scientists are based on research. Don't listen to people's legends. Even in 5000, science is only 200 years old. How can we prove whether Huangdi Neijing is correct?

In fact, TCM in China originated from Huangdi Neijing. People who study Chinese medicine must read Huangdi Neijing, just as people who study Buddhism must read Shurangama Sutra, Diamond Sutra and Jue Yuan Sutra. This is the "fundamental classics" of learning Buddhism, and Huangdi Neijing is also the fundamental classics of learning medicine!

Acupuncture and massage in traditional Chinese medicine used to be treated as "the tide rises and falls at noon". Because in childhood, all the energy in our body must return to its source. At this time, you shouldn't work or work, you'd better have a rest. If you don't rest and concentrate on one thing at this time, it will be difficult for your energy to return to its source.

This "source" refers to the abdomen, and the other refers to various organs of the body. After a day's physical labor, it's time to have a rest. When we rest at this time, all the qi and blood return to the five internal organs. After we replenish them (the five internal organs are full), the energy will be distributed from the five internal organs to every corner of the body and start working again.

In the past, practitioners, especially young people, usually studied hard at school, which means that it is easy to subdue the body's energy at this time. People who are weak and energetic usually rest at school.

Why do gay men obviously show strong desire in the morning? Because at this time, the physiological energy has reached the bottom. At this time, you must get up and practice. When you practice in a certain way, energy will come up. If you don't practice, energy will stay below forever. Therefore, in our Buddhism, we usually get up at four o'clock to practice. I will give a special lecture to these gay men if I have the chance.

A man of practice must know physiology and medicine. If you don't know physiology or medicine, you can't practice, and you can't enter and expand the Tao! That's not true. A man of practice, even if you are not proficient in the "five Ming", you must know the five Ming.

Sakyamuni Buddha is a great physician, and the earliest "physiology" in the world is Sakyamuni Buddha's "Zen Positive Pulse". I have recommended it to everyone before, but you may not have seen it! Anyone who practices the "skeleton view" must read this book first.

The energy in our body is called "spirit" in the head, "qi" in the middle and "essence" below. After practice, essence changes to qi, and qi changes to spirit; If you have desire without practice, you will change from god to qi, from qi to essence, and if you have essence, you will have desire. In other words, essence, qi and spirit are the same thing. For example, "water", you can turn it into "ice" or steam, and it will disperse in the fog. Water vapor is water and ice; Ice is water and steam, and the three are integrated, not three.

Why did the ancients divide it into essence, qi and spirit? It is indeed a thing in our body, but when it reaches different levels, it becomes a different image. If you have no desire, there will be inexhaustible vitality in your body; If you don't consume physical strength and have no desire, there will be inexhaustible sacred light in your body.

If you are a hard worker, the "sacred light" and "energy" in your body will decrease, but your physical strength will increase. If you don't use your brain or engage in manual labor, your "energy" is particularly strong, and it is usually easy to have physical desires. Why did grandfathers have to work and practice for half a day in the past, and before practice, they all had to exercise-run incense. Run incense to warm up the body and transfer energy from the lower body to the upper body. Without energy in the lower body, it is not easy to have desires.
