Characteristic culture of Pingyuan county

The characteristic cultures of Pingyuan County are old tofu, tiger fighting, Lubei wooden drum, red-faced sesame seed cake and legend of Liu Bei in Pingyuan.

1, plain old tofu: When Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River to cross the plain, he was full of praise after tasting it, and ordered the old tofu artist to go to the palace to help the kitchen, so he got Beijing old tofu.

2. Douhu Cattle: Douhu Cattle evolved from martial arts cow Hu Quan and spread in Guopeikou Village, Yaozhan Town, Pingyuan County.

3. Lubei Wooden Drum: Lubei Wooden Drum originated from Pingyuan County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province. Popular in Pingyuan county, widely sung. Lubei wood bulging originated from the "thorns" in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties and was formed in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.

4. Red-faced sesame seed cake: Red-faced sesame seed cake originated in the Yuan Dynasty, belonging to the unique horse-riding catering culture in Mongolian grassland and Xixia area, and has been introduced to the Central Plains for hundreds of years. Red-faced sesame seed cake is named after its shape, while the round one is red-faced sesame seed cake, also known as Guan Gong sesame seed cake.

5. Legend of Liu Bei in the Plain: At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Emperor Liu Bei, Emperor Zhaolie of Shu Han, served as county magistrate and county official twice in the Plain, and the legend and story of Liu Bei in the Plain were widely circulated among the people.
