"Two orioles sing green willows, and egrets cover the sky."
My window framed the snow-covered western hills. My door often says "goodbye" to ships sailing eastward.
Translation:
Pairs of orioles are singing on the new green willow branches, and a row of egrets are flying freely in the blue sky. Looking from the window, the snow scene of the Western Hills seems to be a picture embedded in it. Ships from Soochow are moored outside the door, sailing in Wan Li.
Appreciate:
In 762 AD, Chengdu Yin entered the DPRK, and the Anshi Rebellion occurred. Du Fu once fled to Zizhou, and the Anshi Rebellion was put down the following year, and Yanwu returned to Chengdu. Du Fu also returned to Chengdu Caotang. At this time, he was in a good mood. Faced with this school of life, he couldn't help writing this poem.
This poem depicts four independent landscapes and creates a vibrant picture. The poet was intoxicated with it, looking at the ships from Soochow, unconsciously evoking homesickness, and his meticulous inner activities naturally showed up.
