What is the origin of "Golden Lotus"?
At present, there is a consistent view that "Golden Lotus" originated from "Lotus" in Buddhist culture. Taking "Lian" as the name of women's football is a good name. In Buddhist art, most bodhisattvas stand barefoot on the lotus, which may also be an important reason why the lotus is associated with women's feet.
But it is called "Golden Lotus" mainly because of the traditional language habits of China people. People like to decorate precious or beautiful things with the word "gold". Calling a woman's feet "golden lotus" is a good name. Later, the folk custom changed to "golden lotus" within three inches, "silver lotus" within four inches and "iron lotus" above four inches. Therefore, the golden lotus has become synonymous with feet.
