The origin of Chaoshan song and dance?
There are three theories about the origin of song and dance, one is "timely rain theory", the other is yangko theory and the other is Nuo dance theory.
The theory of "timely rain" is a statement in the section of "timely rain" written by Zhang Dai, a Shaoxing celebrity in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. This section describes the scene of asking for rain. Zhang Dai believes that it may be because Song Jiang, the hero of the Water Margin, is nicknamed "Timely Rain".
Yangko theory means that song and dance are born out of the "Daguzi Yangko" in northern Shandong and the "Liulin Yangko" in western Shandong. Because English songs and "yangko" are pronounced almost the same in Chaozhou dialect. There is also a saying that today's English songs evolved from the ancient Nuo dance. Nuo dance is a form that embodies religious consciousness and artistic characteristics.
Extended data
Song and dance is a kind of square dance which is widely popular in Chaoshan area and has the deepest mass base. It is very masculine in performance style, simple and energetic, and brings aesthetic satisfaction from the tension of rhythm. Deeply loved by the broad masses of the people, it can be said that it is the king of Chaoshan folk dance. Every major festival, it is unthinkable to create an atmosphere without the participation of singing and dancing!
There is really no other dance language that is as bold, rough and exciting as singing and dancing in the whole country and even the whole world. This is the common feeling of every audience. You see, people inside and outside the countryside are waiting for the festival. Suddenly, a group of dancers roared.
Dozens of tiger-faced people with various faces painted and wearing mighty costumes danced all the way. In the fast and vigorous drumming rhythm, they danced with their hammers, swooped up and down, leaped like dragons and tigers, pranced and jumped, and from time to time issued fierce and heroic roars, which merged with the crisp tapping sound of the hammers that resounded through the sky, with a vigorous, unrestrained and vigorous dance.
Let the audience have a boiling passion and be moved. At this time, people are not just enjoying the dance. The air is filled with high-spirited breath, and the audience is unconsciously infected and can't help screaming!
Many friends in the north are puzzled. How can such a soul-grabbing, heroic and precise dance be born in Chaoshan, a brilliant southern country? This is really a historical opportunity.
From the origin, song and dance originated from the primitive Nuo dance of Baiyue tribe, aiming at exorcising ghosts and evil spirits. Subsequently, several large-scale northerners moved south, and the prototype of the legend of heroes in the Central Plains (such as Water Margin Man 108) was integrated into the inherent folk customs of South Vietnam, which spread for thousands of years and precipitated into a unique artistic form, that is, today's songs and dances with a long ancient style and the spirit of the times.
The dance team is divided into a front shed and a back shed. In the shed in front, there are many dancers with short sticks in their hands, led by a snake charmer. The back shed is a percussion band, playing sonorous and exciting music with the dance. Generally, there are three combinations of 36 people, 72 people and 65,438+008 people, with various positions, dances and styles, and different places have different characteristics and styles.
At present, there are at least 20 "singing and dancing towns" in Chaoshan, which proves its strong vitality.
Song and dance, as a wonderful flower in China folk art garden, is a rare dance, which shows the indomitable spirit of Chaoshan people and the Chaoshan spirit that Chaoshan people are linked by blood and maintained by gods. In the prosperous time, song and dance will leap to a new level and dance to an unprecedented climax!
