What are the famous ancient medicines in China?
Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, also known as Classic of Materia Medica or Classic of Materia Medica, is one of the four classic works of Chinese medicine. As the earliest extant TCM works, it originated from Shennong and was handed down from generation to generation. It was compiled into a book in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The book was not written in a moment, and the author is different. Many medical scientists in Qin and Han dynasties collected, summarized and compiled monographs on pharmaceutical experience at that time.
It is the first book in China that systematically summarizes TCM. Most theories and compatibility laws of TCM and the principle of "seven emotions in harmony" have played a great role in the practice of medication for thousands of years and are the source of the development of TCM theory.

Liang Tao Hongjing collected 365 kinds of drugs in Shen Nong's Classic of Materia Medica and included 365 kinds of drugs in this book, thus preserving the basic contents of this book. Primitive animals and plants are divided into four categories: grass, wood, beast, insect and fish, and the sequence is also divided into two. The title of the new note is "sincerity", and the fine print follows Tao Hongjing's note. The newly added drugs are written in big black letters with "New Accessories" at the end.
In the supplementary notes, most of the forms and sources of drugs are recorded, as well as their efficacy and aliases. There are many places in the book to correct Dow's fallacy, which provides a basis for future generations to correct the original medicine. New Materia Medica is the first pharmacopoeia promulgated by the government in China and the earliest pharmacopoeia in the world. The original book has been lost, and the main contents are preserved in the herbal works of future generations.
4. Compendium of Materia Medica
Compendium of Materia Medica, 52 volumes. Li Shizhen (Dongbi) in Ming Dynasty was written in the 31st year of Jiajing (1552) to the 6th year of Wanli (1578), and it was revised three times.
