What does it take to be a soldier?
Physical standards:
In line with the provisions of the third headquarters of the China People's Liberation Army, the China People's Liberation Army College Entrance Examination Standard. Among them, the vision standard can be appropriately relaxed: undergraduate graduates who are supplemented to command positions have naked eye vision of 4.7 or above; Or the naked-eye far vision of one eye is above 4.6, the naked-eye far vision of the other eye is above 4.5, and the corrected vision of each eye is above 4.8; Undergraduate graduates who have been supplemented to technical posts have naked vision of 4.5 or corrected vision of 4.7 or above per eye. The graduates who receive and train command cadres should be above1.68m for boys and above1.58m for girls, with good temperament image. Graduate students who have obtained a master's degree or above may appropriately relax their eyesight and height standards without affecting their work.
There is still a limit on the age of joining the army. Young men 18 to 20 years old, with high school education or above, employees in enterprises and institutions can be relaxed to 2 1 year old, and college education or above can be relaxed to 22 years old. For fresh college graduates, as long as they voluntarily join the army, they can be relaxed to 23 years old. In order to meet the needs of army building, some young men aged 17 who graduated from high schools (including vocational high schools, technical secondary schools and technical schools) can voluntarily enlist in the army. Young women are 18 years old to 19 years old. According to the needs of army building and my own wishes, some young women over the age of 17 can be recruited.
In addition, if you directly become a "non-commissioned officer", you can also look at the regulations.
The object of recruiting non-commissioned officers must be male citizens who have been trained by middle (high) level vocational and technical schools (colleges), obtained vocational qualification certificates issued by the state at the beginning (middle) level or above, and have corresponding majors. The basic conditions are as follows: (1) Political examination and physical examination meet the political and physical conditions for active service; (2) Graduates of secondary vocational and technical schools must obtain the vocational qualification certificate issued by the state at or above the junior level and have been engaged in the professional work for more than one year; College degree or above, must obtain the intermediate vocational qualification certificate issued by the state, can recruit fresh graduates, but also can recruit professional and technical personnel of enterprises and institutions; (3) The age is generally not more than 25 years old. If the army has special needs and has a technician professional qualification certificate, it can be relaxed to 27 years old. Compared with the original regulations, the age has decreased. The original rule is that the age is generally not more than 28 years old. If the army needs special majors or has professional qualification certificates for technicians and senior technicians, the age can be relaxed to 30.
Now I will introduce you to several forms of being a soldier.
There are three types of soldiers. The first category is ordinary soldiers, that is to say, people who perform military service. After two years of military service, they began to serve in active service, that is, they were conscripts. The second is to join the army and join the military academy, that is to say, to enter the military academy in the college entrance examination, military academy graduates are second lieutenants in the army, undergraduates are second lieutenants, and the third is national defense students, that is to say, to enter the national defense orientation major of local colleges and universities in the college entrance examination, to study in local colleges and universities, and to go to the military academy after graduation is also treated as officers. This is a national defense oriented student.
However, the situation of college graduates joining the army is different. For example, sometimes the army has special skills, so it can recruit fresh graduates from local colleges and universities. College graduates are second lieutenants after joining the army, and undergraduate graduates are second lieutenants. Many specially recruited college students are engaged in political work, such as being instructors in companies. However, some majors are different. Our army now pays special attention to talents. Many master's and doctoral students choose to devote themselves to national defense and military affairs after completing their master's and doctoral degrees. They were also specially recruited to join the army. Most of them went to some research departments, and some of them worked as designers and engineers in front-line combat units.
