What is the date of the ancient month? Don't talk about elegance, just say which month corresponds to which, and which number corresponds to which.

In addition to the general use of dry branches, the ancient people also used a certain month and day to express the date. The way to express the date should be "the first day of the month", such as "the ninth day of September" and "the first day of October", which should be the same as today's lunar calendar.

Time is expressed as 24 hours every day and night, which was 12 hours in ancient times. When western mechanical clocks and watches were introduced into China, people called the time points of China and the West "Da Shi" and "Shi Shi" respectively.

Heavenly stems and earthly branches, the main branch for short, originated from the observation of astronomical phenomena in ancient China. "A, B, C, D, E, Ji, G, Xin, Ren and Gui" are called ten heavenly stems, and "Zi, Ugly, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu and Hai" are called twelve earthly branches.

Heavenly stems and earthly branches constitutes the ancient calendar. Ten branches and twelve branches are matched in turn to form sixty basic units, which cooperate with each other in a fixed order to form the epoch method of branches and branches. The invention of trunks and branches marked the emergence of the most primitive calendar, which was used to calculate the age by numbers.

Chronology refers to the calendar of China, which has been used since ancient times. The trunk is heavenly stems and earthly branches's floor. Match the order of branches, a week is 60, and repeat the record, which is also commonly known as "branch table". The chronology of cadres and party branches begins in beginning of spring every year and enters the next year.

Note: We don't enter the next year with the Spring Festival, nor with the first day of January in the solar calendar, but with beginning of spring.

The record of the month by the branch refers to the record of the order of the month by the branch. Some books only use earthly branches to record months, and each month is represented by twelve earthly branches. Call the month of the winter solstice "sub-month" (similar to November in the lunar calendar), the next month "ugly month" (similar to December in the lunar calendar), and so on. Therefore, the "Summer Calendar" in the ancient calendar takes "silver moon" as the first month, which is also called Yin Jianyue or the first month of Yin Jian.

The dividing point is the Moon Festival, not the first day of the lunar calendar. Start with silver moon's beginning of spring.

Heavenly stems and earthly branches's method of keeping track of the day is a method for Han people to record the date sequence. It is a part of the lunar calendar and an important part of the almanac of past dynasties. Liver refers to the combination of heavenly stems (A, B, D, E, G, Ji, Ji) and earthly branches (ugly Mao Yinchen has been in Shen You at noon). It is the same as the chronology of trunk and branch, and records the date sequence with 60 jiazi matched with trunk and branch.

From Jiazi to Guihai, 60 days is a week, and the cycle is recorded. Different from the five elements of "heaven" in the calendar year of cadres and branches, the calendar day of cadres and branches is the "authentic" five elements!

In ancient times, the Han people paired 60 units, each representing one day. If one day is Jiazi Day, the days after Jiazi will be pushed to Ugly B, Bingyin, Ding Mao and so on. The days before Jiazi were reversed to Guihai, Ren Xu and Xinyou.
