The essence of the three characteristics of Wanli

The three expeditions in Wanli refer to three large-scale military operations carried out by Ming Shenzong in the northwest, southwest frontier and Korea in the Ming Dynasty (1573- 1620). The three main expeditions of Emperor Wanli were: Li, the eldest son of Li, put down the worship and rebellion of Mongols in Ningxia; Li, Ma Gui fought against the aggression of Toyotomi Hideyoshi regime in North Korea; And Li Hualong's campaign to quell the rebellion of Miao leader Yang Yinglong.

First, resist Japan and aid Korea: Although the defeat is still glorious, it is not worth the loss!

The War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and Aid Korea was the only war fought outside Daming's homeland. The first Wanli War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was1April 592 to1July 593, and the second was1February 597 to1February 598.

On the surface, Daming finally won, but in fact, this war greatly consumed the national strength of the Ming Dynasty. Because the war was in Korea, the Ming dynasty "tried its best at home", used hundreds of thousands of soldiers before and after, and spent nearly 8 million yuan. Zhang's accumulated financial resources after the reform have been exhausted, and he can't suppress the post-Jin forces within 20 years, which makes the Jurchen tribe stronger and stronger, and finally poses a fatal threat to the Ming Dynasty.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a war maniac, suffered heavy losses in Korea because of his own army. After his death, the Toyotomi family was replaced by Tokugawa Ieyasu.

I think the correct way of the Ming Dynasty is to ignore it. Japan will inevitably invade the Ming Dynasty from the northeast, just killing people and destroying Nurhachi, which expanded its power in the northeast.

Second, the battle of Bozhou: the advantages outweigh the disadvantages

The Battle of Bozhou was a war to suppress the rebellion in Yang Yinglong during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and it was considered as one of the three major battles in Ming Shenzong.

The campaign lasted 1 14 days, and cost the financial resources of Huguang, Sichuan and Guizhou provinces about two million yuan. After the Pingbo War, the Ming court abolished the chieftain system, changed the land to the stream, and established Zunyi and Pingyue, which belonged to Sichuan and Guizhou provinces.

Although the Ming Dynasty spent a lot of money in this battle, after the rebellion in Yang Yinglong was put down, the people who belonged to the chiefs were changed to official management, and the tax revenue and land of the Ming Dynasty increased greatly, far exceeding 2 million silver.

Third, the battle of Ningxia: it is necessary to maintain unity!

The battle of Ningxia was to suppress the rebellion of worshipping the land. On February 18th of the 20th year of Wanli (1592), the sons of worshipping the land, Cheng En, Yi Ziyun and Twain, rebelled. On March 4th, Shao Li, the deputy company commander, received instructions from Governor Wei Xuezeng to ask the company commander to take action.

In July, Ma Gui and others destroyed the camp of Taobu, chased it to Helan Mountain and drove it out of the fortress. Under the command of Ye Mengxiong, a former acting governor, reinforcements from all walks of life surrounded Ningxia City and decided to fill it with water.

The rebels lost foreign aid, and the city ran out of ammunition and food. At the same time, internal conflicts broke out. After Li invaded the big city, he surrounded his family and committed suicide by closing the door. He was captured by Paul. At this point, the chaos of worship was completely subsided.
