Longgang is the product of reform. At the beginning of the town's establishment, it took the lead in carrying out the "three major reforms" of the system of paid land use, the system of urban household registration management and the system of joint-stock cooperative enterprises, successfully embarked on a new way of building modern towns by relying mainly on farmers' own strength without relying on state investment, and made many beneficial explorations for the urbanization of rural areas in China, which was known as "the first farmer city in China". Since then, Longgang has successively become a pilot town for rural labor development and employment in the State Council, a fire-fighting plan-intensive area of the State Science and Technology Commission, an experimental zone for comprehensive social development in Zhejiang Province, and an experimental zone for urban-rural integration in Wenzhou. 1995 has been listed as a pilot town for comprehensive reform of small towns in China by the national ministries and commissions. We firmly seize the opportunity of the pilot town for comprehensive reform of small towns, deepen the reform of finance, household registration, education and administrative institutions with the goal of building "the first city for farmers in China", make great efforts to build a new urban system, actively promote the transformation of economic growth mode, urban construction and management mode, and strive to improve the overall quality of residents. The face of the town changes with each passing day. Science and technology, education, culture, sports, health and other undertakings have developed in an all-round way, and they have been successively rated as Wenming Town in Wenzhou, Health Town in Zhejiang Province, Strong Education Town in Zhejiang Province, the first batch of modern demonstration towns in Zhejiang Province and the top 100 towns in the national investment environment.

The 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, especially after the Third Plenary Session of the 15th Central Committee. Longgang is facing unprecedented development opportunities. The Outline of Agricultural and Rural Modernization in Zhejiang Province proposes to guide a number of economically strong towns with good foundation to develop into small cities, which is a great encouragement to the people of Longgang and strengthens their confidence. The future development goal of Longgang is more clear, that is, to build a modern industrial and trade port city and accelerate the urbanization process of Longgang. To this end, we propose that we should grasp four strategic priorities in the future development process: first, pay attention to urban development planning, improve urban functions, and gradually build urban frameworks; The second is to optimize the structure, accelerate the industrial agglomeration and upgrading of Microsoft in the United States, and improve the quality and efficiency; Third, strengthen environmental protection and strive to achieve sustainable development; Fourth, vigorously develop science and technology education and strive to improve the overall quality of residents.
