The origin of Huang surname

In ancient times, in today's eastern Inner Mongolia and the southern foot of Yanshan Mountain, it was the birthplace of Huang. Later, people followed Zhuan Xu and moved to the Central Plains. In 648 BC, after Huangchuan was destroyed by Chu, a few people surnamed Huang fled to central Henan, while a large number moved to the hinterland of Chu and settled in Hubei and other places.

From the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties, the surname Huang has been widely spread to Hubei, gradually forming two Huang counties, Jiangling and Jiangxia, and based on this, it developed to the south of the Yangtze River, "floating in the south of the Yangtze River and taking the seashore as its fixed place". Huang's footprint reaches Shaanxi and Sichuan in the west, the East China Sea in the east and Hunan and Jiangxi in the south. At the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Lin, Huang, Chen and Zheng of the Central Plains took the lead in entering Fujian.
