Surprise-Introduction

Awakening of Insects

Sting is one of the twenty-four solar terms, which is of great significance in busy farming. On March 5th and 6th, every year, when the sun reaches 345 degrees, it is "in a daze".

Sting means that when the weather gets warmer, the spring thunder begins to sound, awakening the insects that are dormant and hibernating underground.

"Twenty-four solar terms" said: "February Festival, everything vibrates, and when it vibrates, it thunders, so it is called thunder. It's an escaped cockroach. "

Tao Yuanming, a poet in the Jin Dynasty, said in a poem: "In the spring rain, the east corner began to thunder, and everyone was lurking, and the vegetation was comfortable."

In fact, insects can't hear thunder. Spring is back, and the warmer weather is the reason why they end their hibernation and "run away in surprise". In China, the time when the spring thunder begins to ring is different from morning till night. On the average for many years, thunder can be heard in southern Yunnan around the end of 1, while the first thunder day in Beijing is in late April. The saying that "thunder begins with you" is consistent with the climate law in Jiangnan.

nickname

This solar term is also called "Qixi" in history. "Xia Zheng Xiao" said: "The first month of the month began to sting". In the current cultural circle of Chinese characters, Japan still uses the name "Kai Zhe".

The sixth generation emperor of Han Jingdi, Han Jingdi, taboo for "Qi", in order to avoid taboo, changed "Qi" to "Jing" with similar meaning. At the same time, the order of Meng Chun's first month's fright and mid-February's spring festival "Rain" was also replaced. Similarly, the order of "Grain Rain" and "Qingming" has been replaced.

Before the early Han Dynasty, beginning of spring-qi stagnation-rain-vernal equinox-Grain Rain-Qingming.

Beginning of spring was replaced by Han Jing-rain-thorn-vernal equinox-Qingming-Grain Rain.

After entering the Tang dynasty, you don't have to avoid the word "qi" and use the name "qi". However, due to some unaccustomed reasons, Dayanli once again used the word "elite", which is still in use today. Like China, Japan used "Jingzhe" in the calendars of past dynasties. Since then, Japan has also adopted Dayan calendar and Xuanming calendar. When changing the calendar to the truth, Japan began to use the name "flag bearer".

Sting-custom

Eat pears in horror.

In Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and other places, people have the custom of eating pears, which means leaving pests behind. In the warm and cold spring, because the climate is relatively dry, it is easy to make people thirsty and cough. Pear is cold and sweet, and has the effects of moistening lung, relieving cough, nourishing yin and clearing heat. In addition, pear is homophonic with "Li", which means to keep the disease away from the body.

Sacrifice the white tiger to solve right and wrong

The custom of beating villains

In Guangdong and Hong Kong, folk customs include rituals of offering sacrifices to white tigers and beating villains.

According to the folklore in China, the white tiger is the god of tongue and right and wrong. On this day every year, it will come out for food and bite. If you commit a crime, you will often be made waves by evil villains this year, which will hinder your future development and lead to all kinds of difficulties. In order to protect themselves, everyone sacrificed the white tiger on the day of shock.

The so-called white tiger sacrifice refers to the white tiger painted with paper for sacrifice. Paper tigers are usually yellow and black, with a pair of fangs painted on the corners. When offering sacrifices, you need to feed it with the blood of the fat pig, so that it won't hurt people after eating it, and then put raw pork on the mouth of the paper tiger, so that it is covered with oil and water and can't open its mouth to tell people right and wrong.

"Beating villains" to drive away bad luck

Sting symbolizes the beginning of February in the lunar calendar. It will wake up all hibernating snakes, insects, rats and ants with a thunder, and reptiles and ants at home will also get up and look for food everywhere. Therefore, in ancient times, people would smoke the four corners of their homes with incense and wormwood to drive away snakes, insects, mosquitoes, rats and musty smells. Over time, it gradually evolved into the habit of slapping unhappy people and driving away bad luck, which is the predecessor of "beating villains".

Many people deify "beating villains". In fact, this is purely a folk custom. The purpose of beating villains is to drive away the villains around you and vent their inner dissatisfaction by patting the paper dolls representing their opponents. Most people beat villains, with the general purpose of seeking all the best in the New Year, and the targets of being "beaten" are mainly mistresses and "golden fingers" at work. The purpose of beating a villain is to hope that the villain will retreat and express his inner grievances.

Shocking agriculture

"Spring thunder rings, everything grows", and the temperature rises and the rain increases during the fright season. Except for the scene of winter in the northeast and northwest, the average temperature in most parts of the country has risen above 0℃, the average daily temperature in North China is 3-6℃, the temperature in the south of the Yangtze River is above 8℃, and the temperature in Southwest China and South China has reached 10- 15℃. Therefore, the working people in China have attached great importance to this solar term since ancient times and regarded it as the beginning of spring ploughing.

There is a cloud in the Tang poetry: "A light rain brings new flowers, and a thunder starts. Tian Jia was idle for a few days, and farming began. " Agricultural proverbs also say, "Spring ploughing can't rest, after the Scare Festival", "Let a hundred flowers blossom and farm work come together." Winter wheat in North China began to turn green, and the soil was still frozen and thawed alternately. Raking the ground in time is an important measure to reduce water evaporation.

"Shocking without harrowing is like steaming steamed bread", which is a valuable experience for local people to fight drought and conserve moisture. Wheat in the south of the Yangtze River has been jointing and rape has begun to blossom. There is a high demand for water and fertilizer, so topdressing should be done in time, and proper irrigation should be done in dry and rainy places. Rain in the south can generally meet the needs of vegetables, wheat and green manure crops in spring, and it is most important to prevent wet damage.

As the saying goes, "It's better to dump manure than to plow wheat with three pipes" and "If you want to harvest rapeseed, you must manage plowing diligently". We should continue to do a good job in ditch cleaning and drainage. We should pay close attention to sowing early rice in South China, and at the same time do a good job in cold prevention in rice fields. As the temperature rises, tea trees gradually germinate, so it is necessary to prune and apply "germination accelerating fertilizer" in time to promote more branches and leaves and increase tea yield. Fruit trees such as peaches, pears and apples should be fertilized before flowering.

"Spring thunder scares thousands of insects", and the warm climate conditions are conducive to the occurrence and spread of many diseases and insect pests, and weeds in the fields are also sprouting. It is necessary to do a good job in pest control and intertillage weeding in time. "Peach blossoms come, swine fever comes", and we should also pay attention to the epidemic prevention of poultry and livestock.
