Huang Lishi's Lantern Festival and Central Plains

Tao Jing designated the 15th day of the first month as Shangyuan, July 15th as Zhongyuan and October 15th as Xia Yuan. From the first Universiade 1864 to 1883, the second Universiade 1884, and the third Universiade 1904.

1924 for the 4th Universiade, 1944 for the 5th Universiade and 1964 for the 6th Universiade. The 7th National Games is 1984, the 8th National Games is in 2004, and the 9th National Games is the next place from 2024 to 2043.

The formation of Lantern Festival custom has a long process. According to general data and folklore, the fifteenth day of the first month was paid attention to in the Western Han Dynasty. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sacrificed "Taiyi" in Ganquan Palace on the fifteenth night of the first month, which was regarded by later generations as the first time to sacrifice to heaven on the fifteenth day of the first month.

However, the Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first month is indeed a folk festival after the Han and Wei Dynasties. The custom of burning lanterns on the fifteenth day of the first month is related to the eastward spread of Buddhism.
