First of all, please celebrate Zigu Day.
On the eleventh day of the first month, in some places, there is a custom to greet the daughter-in-law, so this day is also called "daughter-in-law day".
Zigu is the god of toilets in China folklore. She is also a daughter-in-law, a toilet aunt, an aunt Mao, a pit aunt and a pit girl. People all over the world often say that she can predict the future, worship at home and know everything.
The earliest document that recorded Zigu was The Story of Different Gardens written by Liu, a Southern Song Dynasty man. According to legend, Zi Gu was the concubine of a large family and was killed in the toilet because of jealousy. The Emperor of Heaven took pity on her and named her Ce Shen. However, the Han people worshipped Zigu not because she was Ce Shen, but because Zigu represented the oppressed women in feudal society, so ancient women worshipped her very much and regarded her as the patron saint of weak women.
Second, the birthday of Empress Taijun.
The eleventh day of the first month is the birthday of the Queen Taijun, and some areas will sacrifice to the Queen Taijun on this day to pray for the healthy growth of children.
Empress Taijun is the patron saint of young women. She has the power to give birth, protect childbirth, protect babies and protect children. It consists of three gods: Taijun (Taijun's wife), Taijun (Taijun's mother) and Taijun (Taijun's bodhisattva), among which Santai is the most trusted.
People often adopt their children to San Taijun and pray for their healthy growth. In the past, from the birth of children, sacrifices were made around the belief of Taijun, such as stealing shoes to pray for blessings, praying for milk, shaving heads in three dynasties, full moon, one year old, arhat wine (also known as "worship Taijun wine") and so on. Pray for Empress Taijun in various ways and thank her for her kindness.

On the eleventh night of the first month, a table of delicious food will be prepared as ceremoniously and meticulously as the New Year's Eve, which means that the whole family will have a good year. As the saying goes, "Eat Fu and eat Jia (which means getting old in Minnan)" and "Eleven blessings, eat Jia and cool old". This means that eating 11 blessings will lead to a long life.
Eleven eating blessings does not specify what food to eat. Basically, as long as the preparation is rich enough, the greater the blessing. Some people will prepare leek and tofu dishes, because "leek" is homophonic with "leek", which means long-term vegetable spring and annual spring, while tofu is homophonic with "fu". There is also a saying that "tofu is spring and leek is rich".
