Historical figures in Shijie Town

Yuan Chonghuan (1584—1630) was born in Shijie, Dongguan, Guangdong. Forty-seven years of Wanli (16 19), Jinshi. Later, he recommended himself to work in Liaodong border, and was valued by Sun Chengzong for guarding Ningyuan. In the war against the Qing army (the latter Jin Dynasty), Ningyuan and Ningjin successively won a great victory, but Wei Zhongxian resigned and returned to his hometown because he was unpopular.
