When can stocks be bought and sold?
In call auction time (9: 00 am15-9: 25 am), different time periods have different requirements:
9: 15-9:20, you can hang up the bill or cancel it.
From 9: 20 to 9: 25, you can only hold the bill, but you can't cancel it.
From 9: 25 to 9: 30, you can't hang the bill or cancel it. After 9: 25, the system matches transactions according to the principle of time priority and price priority, but the order is temporarily stored in the brokerage system and then submitted to the exchange at 9: 30. The purpose of setting up call auction is to prevent the stock price from being manipulated artificially, because the number of buyers and sellers can't be seen when assembling.
In the after-hours trading between science and technology innovation board and Growth Enterprise Market (15:05- 15:30), all transactions are conducted at a fixed price according to the closing price, and the prices of buyers and sellers remain unchanged. However, according to the changes in buying and selling orders, it is expected to open higher the next day.
Both call auction and after-hours fixed trading can not only help investors to make predictions, but also prevent stock price manipulation, so it has a positive effect on the securities market.
The trading hours of most stocks are:
Monday to Friday from 9: 30am to11:30am and from13: 00pm to15: 00pm.
From 9: 00 am15 am, investors can place orders, and the entrusted price is limited to plus or minus 10% of the closing price of the previous trading day, that is, between the price limit and the price limit. Orders entrusted before 9:25 am are matched at 9:25 am, and the price obtained is the so-called "opening price". Orders placed between 9:25 and 9:30 will not be processed until 9:30.
If the price you entrust cannot be concluded on the current trading day, you must re-register the order every other trading day.
Rest day: Trading is not allowed on Saturdays, Sundays and rest days announced by Shanghai Stock Exchange. (Generally, it is a national statutory holiday such as May Day, Eleventh, Spring Festival, New Year's Day, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival).
